So what’s the difference between the Nanopresso & the Minipresso Gr1? Or are they the same?

bough this device 3 years ago and use every day. It's still working. ❤

So I am in the African Bush as I type this and the Nanopresso, Barista Kit, Knob Grinder and a Stunning Medium Roast blend make for a stunning cup every time. I use 14grams with a 3-1 Ratio on a slightly courser than Espresso grind. For hot water, the Jet boil gets me to a cup of coffee from weighing the beans to ready in 5 minutes. Who says you can’t have a great cup of coffee when there is no electricity around. I thoroughly enjoy the channel, keep em coming.

Oh wow that's awesome! Where in Africa are you? That's definitely up there on my next Wacaco destinations. Jet boil sounds good, I'll have to pick up one of those eventually. Appreciate the comments!

@ 3:18 it doesn't give 1:2 ratio if we pump all the water out... Its kinda around 52-53g approx with 8g basket! For ratios I would suggest using a pocket scale or rather do approximations for water levels. Nonetheless, it gives great shots everytime. Altogether this is a great piece of equipment letting you do original coffee grounds, nespresso & Dolce gusto & also with it's accessories extending the nanopresso capabilities! I own this device and it's a great investment I've made for sure! Great video as usual! Happy brewing!

Hey Sylvester, you're absolutely right, I mixed that one up with the ratio. Usually I don't pump the full water through for my shots, but yes using approximations works. Glad you're enjoying the Nano yourself :)

I recently bought a Nanopresso for ground coffee which i love but not sure what I'm doing wrong! I use boiled water straight away from the kettle, but once pumped through, it's not hot anymore and too cool which kind of ruins the experince! Can anyone advise on how to keep my coffee hot?
@aravec3 ай бұрын
Yes pre-heat the nano by pumping hot water through it BEFORE you add the coffee. This will warm up all the parts to prevent heat loss through conduction. Hope that makes sense.

Love my wacaco nanopresso ❤👏happy cupa ☕️ I've my nanopresso in my tennis bag, my gym bag, and backpack to the beach tennis and travelling osprey backpack ...so allows me to have a great coffee anytime anywhere for a fraction of the price and a thermos bottle with hot water. Short cuppa great welcomed.

Great video. What size is your Fellow Carter Travel Mug 8oz or 12oz? Also have you tied the Nanovessel as an alternative hot water tank?

Great video and nice sweater! :) Curious if you've ever done a video in Morocco? (I'm heading there this fall.). I have all three modes for the Nano as well and like all three. Good tip about: (1) not pumping through as much water with a pod, and (2) pouring the water in to make a lungo instead of pressing all the water through. with a nod to James Hoffman's video on Nespresso pods, I really like their single origin Columbia and Ethiopia. Most of the others are undrinkable, or close to it. :)

Haha thanks Bob, keeps me warm! Morocco is definitely on my list this year too. I'd definitely try out some of the alternative capsules, see if any local roasters sell them, or find them online in your region. Let me know if you find some!

You stated that you are using 12g for the barista kit while Wacaco states 16g. I found that 16g is too dense and cannot pump water through. Wonder why Wacaco still says 16g and if it causes problems for people trying to persevere with that weight and continually finding that they cannot get a good coffee. Did a bit of investigation and using the depths of the two baskets which are rounded out to 19mm and 33mm which gives a ratio of 1:1.74 and using that ratio then the larger basket should handle about 13.5 - 14g and achieve a similar compaction to the smaller basket.
