I've had an Appartamento for over 6 years and in 20 minutes you can make a good espresso, just by running a little water (4s) through it and drawing off the coffee.

It's interesting that people are finding they have to put more effort into the Pico than the Nano. Maybe they've updated their website but even the description of the Pico literally states no shortcuts and that you have to master the art of manual espresso...that will get you a cafe quality espresso." Thanks for the review. The Pico looks to be more demanding of the user than the Nano.

The second one is different because some of the coffee oils were absorbed into the dry paper filter, so not as much of the coffee "goodness." Rnsing your filters, keep the filt from "wicking" the coffee back up into the filter.

I suppose that you'll talk about it later, but I'm already wondering what's new with this one...

I'm not sure I get the difference - why is it simulated crema in the nano and not the real crema?
@robertkreft56535 күн бұрын
Do you necessarily need to put 18g of coffee in the picopresso? Or can you put 10g and the quality of espresso will not change?

I wish Wacaco would make a dosing funnel for the Nanopresso. That would be so handy. Maybe as part of a deluxe accessory kit or something.

I only found out about these today, I’m leaning more towards the picopresso when I can afford it (it’s about $180ish AUD) but it sounds like there’s a lot more technique involved than the nanopresso. Could it be beneficial to have both?

First, I know this video is 2 years old, sorry about the necro posting. ;) But you gotta clean your moka pot better LOL. ;) It's super easy but it needs to happen every time you use it, IMHO. I have a sprayer on my sink so that makes it super easy, just spray it out and let it drip dry. Don't even need soap. I have never tried French Press, but now I am glad I went with the Moka Pot. :)

I just used a Moka Pot for the first time. From using a FP for a few years, I was surprised in the flavors the MP got out of the same coffee I've been using on the FP. A more full mouth experience with notes I hadn't noticed from the FP brew. Thanks for the video and an in depth explanation, I thought I was going nuts on how big a difference it was. 🙏🏻

Hi Brodie, I got a Picopresso just now. Just curious if whats happening to mine is normal. Everytime I put hot water to preheat the thing, Even though it is still close, water continuously drips from it. :( Is this some kind of leak? or am I just overputting water from it?
@BrodieVissers13 күн бұрын
where is it dripping from exactly? if it's dripping from the top lid, could be you put too much water (try to follow the markers inside the tank), if it's dripping from the bottom where the shower screen goes, contact Wacaco support and show them a video of your issue. hope that helps!

You have to pulse and shake the blade grinder about three times to make sure the bens are fairly uniform. The Krups does this and makes great coffee. I only paid $18.00

I've had nanopresso + barista kit but gave it away while overseas and went back to the store to buy another one. The store suggested getting picopresso instead, so I watched a few videos and got it along with Wacaco grinder - no turning back, it's leaps and bounds better than nanopresso and suits my needs - I primarily use it while travelling to other countries that don't have good coffee available, but always have hot water and cups in my accommodation. Plus the grinder will be used for specialty coffee beans with my regular machine at home. Overall - impressive kit!

I have neither as have been using a dolce gusto pod machine for the past few years but want to try ground coffee so want to get one of these. I think the Moka Pot sounds tastier
