The ES6 looks nice.... I would also like to see what the G6 is like inside. I have a G3 and Xpeng normally delivers good value for money.... But if I had to replace the G3 and my wife's model 3 now, I would go for that Zeekr hatchback plus the Tank 400.

At least inside China, the Zeekr X's price is hard to beat for what you get. And if the G6 comes in with a similarly good price (rumor is starting around 220k rmb), that's a great choice as well.

Canada is actually too cold for EVs. There are only two seasons in Canada, summer and winter. Winter in most places is 8 months long. The range of EVs will be significantly reduced during winter.

That Zeeker centre screen is such a useful and smart solution. Instead of stuffing in am additional front passenger screen you can use it for the front passenger when that's all you want for entertainment purposes or you can put it in the centre and then it's for the front and rear passengers

The Zeekr X is full of neat features. The passenger seat goes into full recline "zero G" mode, helped by the fact that the rear seats can fold upwards to create a flat load floor in the back. You can option a real freezer into the center console, which can maintain sub zero frozen temperatures. There is a self stowing rear privacy/parcel shelf, and rear cargo floor can be removed and turned into a small table for camping etc. Very innovative and well designed car.

Like almost everything in China, the Chinese EVs evolve and improve at warp speed. Too bad we are unlikely to see the Chinese EVs in the US market given the tension between the two countries. Tesla is smart to join them instead of just compete h2h. Hope Tesla learns the stylish designs and creative plush interiors and bring them to the US.

The direct translation is "repeller ship". Destroyers were used to repel torpedo boats at that time. Similar Chinese characters were used to describe "pursuit (aircraft)" until the end of WW2, which is also the name that U.S. Army called fighter aircrafts before late 1940s.

Wow! Beautiful vehicles. It took 15 years for most car companies (save Nissan Leaf and Toyota Prius) to catch up with Tesla. Now the Chinese have one of the stiffest "all electric" target from the Chinese government, to phase out of gas completely by 2035 (last I've heard). Tesla Shanghai Giga Factory is still doing well in competing with EV production. Actually, the best performers are still Tesla's models. Nah, IMHO, Chaser sounds kind of clumsy and Destroyer is a great name. Just to clarify, the model name Destroyer here means a fast, manoeuvrable warship, as in naval terminology.

The car actually is named for the naval destroyer, except that a direction translation is "chaser ship" or "interceptor ship". Which I guess is what a destroyer does, since it's role in the fleet is to be the interceptor. BYD also makes the Frigate 07, and a direct translation of the word frigate in Chinese is "escort ship", which again, describes the role of frigates in a fleet. Now why the Frigate 07 is an almost midsize crossover and the Destroyer 07 is a compact sedan, and not the other way around, that's the real issue which makes no sense! BYD product planners apparently have zero knowledge about the size and roles of warships despite launching (pun intended!) and entire model line named after warships. Supposedly a BYD minivan called (appropriately this time) the Landing Ship will be coming later this year.

The mass market SUV/CUV craze started in the US with the Jeep Cherokee in the 80s, and especially the original Ford Explorer in the 90s. Subsequently all major classes were also first popularized in the US, such as the compact crossover (Toyota RAV4), the luxury compact crossover (Lexus RX), the luxury midsize crossover (Mercedes ML), the "sporty" crossover (BMW X5), the massive full size family SUV (Chevy Suburban), the luxury full size SUV (Lincoln Navigator), the ugly full size luxury SUV (Cadillac Escalade), and so on and so forth. I don't know why that guy thinks Europe somehow leads in the sales of SUVs and CUVs. Actually Europe (and also Japan I guess) will be the final holdout where small city cars and hatchbacks still get sales. And a lot of people will say that's a good thing, because hatchbacks are small, economical, and versatile, unlike the giant SUV monstrosities taking over car markets all over world. That guy should be proud that Europe leads in hatchbacks, because they literally make all the greatest hatchbacks in the world, such as Golf, Astra, Clio etc.

Almost all Chinese car's have Tesla's design language - No grills, Full glass roof, Big centre screen, minimal buttons, hidden air vents, flush door handles. Though they seem to have better 'looking' interior materials.

agree.... but I've heard a funny fact about the BYD company name, the founder of BYD says actually the 3 english cap letter BYD has no meaning at all... When he first registering the company, he encountered many problems of repeated names. So he tried some meaningless,randomly make up names.. then BYD passed. thats why BYD has to continuely make up some company slogan just for those 3 random english letter... 比亚迪。 比：compare/comparison 亚：asia/second place 迪：basically no meaning at all....
