I’ve been blessed with a Galanor/Syntho roll from my first clear at the start of Echos and it has rarely left my hunter. Now I have an even better super to use it with.

@ Liar will have better burst melee dmg but only on combination blow while syntho works with all melees including glaive and grapple so it can boost those parts of your build on top of regular melee. Pick whichever you fell is best for the activity

@@jesseheijnen4450 yes and no, syntho works with other types of melee dmg as well but they severely nerfed syntho + combination blow as well as syntho + stylish damage stacking (it used to be busted if you could get the stylish invis weaken punch with syntho. Its still good so use whichever one you have/prefer.

I have Caliban/Synthoceps and have been running a slightly different build. I think Liars is probably a little better.

I like liars more just because i like the little arc spike that manifests

@@cfcbailey7583 Synthoceps combined with combo blow did receive a nerf, but I didn't have the class item before the nerf so I don't know how drastic it was. It does work with grapple melee and apparently Liars doesn't.

Caliban/syntho if you rather use threaded spike but its a a bit more passive of a playstyle

I think running an arc blinding weapon could be great with the build for that artifact mod for 15% extra damage

Ran a couple of GMs with a similar build and Galanor refund seems abit inconsitent on Silkstrike? Sometimes i only hit a couple and got 50% back and then i hit multiple enemies with every strike and only get like 15% back

Solid build. I have a really similar video. I was focusing on Galanor -StarEater or just Star Eater Scales though. I really like Threaded Specter over Stylish Executioner. You get huge aggro pull to it so it's like being invisible but you get an extra fragment. And all its downsides are neutralized by combo blow.

This was my first class item I ran forever cause I couldn't get caliban liar's. It's my top 3 favorite class pieces for hunter. Inmost light cyrtarachne makes you an almost invincible ability spam. 😁

PLEASE UPVOTE THIS/PIN IT so that people are aware: If you have ANY stack of combination blow, the grapple melee will do less damage in combination with SYNTHOCEPS because bungie decided the lower Synthoceps damage bonus percentage from 165% extra damage to ONLY 30%! when combination blow is active and IT AFFECTS GRAPPLE MELEE

Synthos buffs grapple melee and works with all Hunter melees unlike Liar’s. Liar’s doesn’t require being surrounded so it isn’t as restricting or risky. Spirit of Synthoceps does not increase super damage.

you could get python from the monument. rolls with overflow and 1-2punch that way you never have to really reload.

I run this with Golden Gun and quick-swap to a Star Eater class item when I get to a boss encounter; once the super regen bug with Celestial gets fixed, Star Eater is going to be the play anyway.

No doubt it’s good and strong build. But I’m so tired of using similar builds. I abused liars calibans when class items came out and liars with other combinations and meh just bored of it now. But damn is it a strong build lol.

Man I'm so tired of the melee dodge melee build. Also unless you're in a gm(or other locked loadout activity) you can use the caliban/liars and swap to the galanor b4 you pop your super, but you're right the caliban is just overkill most times, and actually if you aren't quick on the dodge the caliban will kill everything remaining and you won't get your melee back lol.

I literally have to create my own builds which is fine, but sometimes I wanna run someone else's build. it's always Combination blow. Whyyyy

@@derek3154 If you open any chests in the Pale Heart as you are roaming around, they have a chance to drop exotic class items or Ergo Sum assuming both are in your loot pool. It doesnt even have to be overthrow chests, just the plain old chests can drop them. It happens regular enough but not regular enough that you wouldnt lose your mind if this is all you were doing.

Yea. Have done all those things. I have really not had good luck. I’m one of those guys I guess. had about 50 total drops between all those methods and gave up
