This is how i make my Zimbabwean 🇿🇼 sauce though we call it 'soup'. And we eat the 'sauce' with almost everything from rice, sadza, pasta, potatoes. Only thing is sometimes i use freshly chopped tomatoes with a tablespoon of tomato puree, it looks exactly like this end result. Throughout the years i always get compliments. And I love mine spicy 😋
@julietaugustine6953 ай бұрын
Exactly! I made this exactly the same way at Easter and my mom complemented it a lot. I added chicken, crayfish, carrots and green beans.

I beg go rest. What is wrong with these Ghanaians always trying to infuse themselves with anything NIgeria? This is well known Nigerian sauce, Ghana, please Nigerians are not thinking about you.
@tinak73093 ай бұрын
I tell U. The whole dish is a normal Ghanaian distin😊😊they just need to fry the boiled egg a little before adding it to the stew... They are yet to learn that😅.. . And I see they are gradually calling stew by it's rightful name, instead of calling it soup 😅 Nigerians like to copy and claim as originators.😅😅 Since they plenty pass us, we go gree for dem.
@sean-et4wr3 ай бұрын
@@tinak7309 you have no accomplishments and are always claiming someone copied from you. What’s wrong with you people? The moment a country is excelling in something, here comes Ghana, saying it did it first. It’s funny you help out every country, but can’t help yourselves…even rice, eba, amala, pepper soup, all Nigerian dishes, started in Ghana..what’s wrong with you people? 🤷🏾🤷🏾

Thanks for making Ghanaian stew. 😂We generously allow you to copy and even add our eggs (sometimes fry the boiled egg 1st before putting it in the stew😋😋 that's the ish) Ghanians use herringsfish powder ( dried sardines) instead of crayfish. They both taste the same tho. I even put some in my turkey stew yesterday as crayfish is more common to get here in the uk. 🎉🎉🎉your flowers beautiful ❤

Short your mouth, delusional. Are you guys not only eat banku. When do Ghana start eating stew that Nigerians has been using to eat Sunday rice. You small Ghana have no idea. Do you know that Ethiopia has similar stuff called stew but they call it something different in their language. You guys are too local need to travel more for education.

Can you post a list of spices as well as rough quantities of each ingredients??
@moa53513 ай бұрын
She didn't use a lot of spices. I think in the chicken just garlic, black pepper, a bouillon cube/tsp of bouillon powder some chopped habanero and maybe onion powder. In the sauce only one or two Bouillon cubes, like a tsp of black pepper and like 2 tbsp of ground, dried shrimp (Shrimp powder made from sun-drying shrimps) which Nigerians call crayfish. This gives a lot of umami to the sauce, a little like oyster sauce and fish sauce give Asian stir fries a distinctive taste. The base sauce is just tomatoes, chilli's and habaneros for some heat. There is no hard and fast rule to spices for Nigerian stews. Basics are onion, garlic and bouillon.
