With a strat middle pickup, a nashville version of this would be a fender tour.

This demonstration shows that the series wiring sends the bridge pickup's output into the neck pickup (typical for four-way Teles), hence the series option works in positions two and three while muting position one. Running neck and bridge pickups in series and with reverse polarity ("out of phase" is incorrect terminology) can make for great dirty tones.

I've been looking for a demo of this guitar. Kinda hard to find solid playing on this specific model, and this video is exactly what i was looking for. That guitar looks and sounds fucking sick. For those of us who can't decide between telecaster and jazzmaster lol

this video sold the guitar to me. The track at 11:50 ish shows that it can get that twang sound if you can play that way..(I can't yet haha) and it takes a nice sizzly overdrive

Honestly I was pretty blown away by how much I loved the neck pickup with some distortion. I already love a Tele bridge pickup gained up but that neck sound was superb. Pretty winning combo on this one, avoids what can be a too-bright JM bridge position and what can be a dull/muffled Tele neck position. Sorely tempted, great video guys.

Good review. A Vegatrem Teletrem might be cool on that. or yeah a BIGsby. Wonder if a different P90 would cut down some of the super funk quackiness? It's a bit much for me. Any ideas?
@TSFAHTPS4 ай бұрын
@@robf.7404 the Vegatrem could be interesting! Jazzmaster pickups are quite bright…something like a P90 would probably make it a bit darker
@jfinester2 ай бұрын
A Jazzmaster pickup is not a P-90. They’re built totally differently, and they sound completely different from each other. Only thing they have in common is the polepieces down the middle, and they’re both rectangular. Aside from that, they’re nothing alike.

The three piece saddle bridge seems like an odd choice. Expected it to be a more modern 6 saddle.

I far prefer the look of the 3 saddle especially when they are brass. Have always had very good luck with a intonation and stability when set up correctly

Fender started doing blocks and binding on Jaguars, Jazzmasters, Electric XIIs, Bass VIs, Bass Vs and Jazz Basses in about 1966. If you ordered one in a custom color back then, it might have a matching headstock too.
