The class 220 is different to the class 221 cause the class 221 has an extra carriage compared to the class 220

Nope the main difference is the bogies, the 220s have lightweight ones and cannot tilt. The 221s can tilt and so have larger bogies

It's diesel-Electric, and indeed: both the 220 and 222 have the same engines (Cummins QSK19). Just as the 221, the 185 and the 180!
