I just love the fact that she's so innocent it flies over her head that Sheridan and Tarquin are in a long term serious relationship where they live together. (Honestly I think Hyacinth would be more upset over Sheridan and Tarquin living together unmarried over them being gay.) I thought it was interesting that in the pilot episode, Sheridan joined The Sword of the People and was going to rob a bank, and Hyacinth told Richard not to give him any money, but in every episode after that when he calls, she's always lending him money. I think that initially the writers had a different direction planned for Sheridan.
