@@remon4731 My mother got this disease when i was 15 years old and lived 5 years with it, until 2016 when she died. You have no idea how this condition breaks people, the patient and the family, both physicaly and emotionaly. You just have to pause your life and help your loved one to do litteraly anything, to go to the toilets, cook, switch the music, use the tv remote, eat the food you made, ANYTHING. The guy is lucky to be rich, if he was a nobody, he could never have lived that long or have been that useful for humanity. The engine he is using is also something only rich people can afford. My mum was litteraly exhausted after two sentences. Now i get your point, Stephen Hawking is gold, but remember : this disease is HELL. If you don't truly love the person, you're leaving the house after the first hours. Also i became a "tough" guy after all that shit (my father wasn't even there for he died in 2004 before my mum got sick in 2010), but i'm telling you : i watched The Theory of Everything, and i litteraly had to pause the movie like four times and go smoke a cigarette or i would have started to cry like a bitch. And they could have made it even more realistic, but people watching the movie could have been shocked for life.

By the end of his life he surely would’ve had access to a less... robotic voice, I think the fact he didn’t choose to adopt this proves how humble he is. He doesn’t need to appear less disabled since he’s expected himself for who he is and that is truly inspiring to me. RIP Stephen Hawking. You will forever be missed

I don't think it's a matter of humility. I think he just accepted it as his voice. To the point where they had to emulate it after the old hardware that ran his voice synth ran out of stock. He certainly could have upgraded, but he chose not to, because it wasn't his voice.

When he went into space I cried, seeing him in such happiness and having a good time with no physical limits, just wow

Well he wasn’t in space. It was a zero-g flight. He was basically just free falling, but with the whole plane falling around him too. It’s actually open for anyone to fly on, a ticket just costs $5000 so it’s not super affordable

4:31 the feeling of true freedom I can never be more happier than this. The moment he always lived for. He couldn't go to space due to his ALS but, I'm sure he would have. A warrior, a father, a genius, an inspiration, a teacher, a funny guy, my hero. I'll never want to give up again because Hawking outlived 50years what he was told. Thank you Stephen, you beautiful man.

I’m truly saddened that I didn’t meet this guy. While I wasn’t a scientist type of guy, I greatly praise him for being one of the most intelligent and amazing person ever to be seen. Rest In Peace, Dr Hawking.
