I've learned with the "diy glue" (since I can't afford any of the good sh!t) not to mix it with water. Just use a eyeliner brush and "paint" it around your nail and use the tip of the brush to get close to the nail. And do a second layer. I did it many times and the most time it took to dry was about two minutes. It peeled fine, it didn't break and held up well with the cuticle. I know Cristine hates glue but for us people who can't afford the actual good stuff glue actually works well. Just, not with water.

Thanks for the demo and btw, since your video post 5 years ago, Kiesque now has 2 different bottles of Liquid Palisade on their website for $14 each but I still think it's pricey for such a small amount but maybe it goes further than I imagine. One has a thin brush and the other has a fat brush that's helpful to cover more area quickly.

I just use the UNT peel of basecoat as a “liquid latex.” It works really well and dries quickly. I’ve only used it for when doing glitter nails but it worked great for that so I’m sure it would with other things!

Did you end up using it on regular polish or gel polish? I'm looking for something now but they all have four ⭐'s.

@@toniamaya6835 i used it as a peel-off basecoat for regular polish, regular glitter polish, gel polish, and gel glitter polish. It can be a little pricey though depending on how much you use it, so if you don't wanna spend that much on it, regular Elmer's glue works just as great, if not better. The only thing is that it does take a few minutes to dry. For me, all my nails dried within ten minutes when I used the glue.

for anyone who wants to know, if you diy your peel off stuff, you should use just Elmer's glue and a bit of acrylic paint. Because you can see it on your skin, it's thicker, it peels better and it doesn't stain your skin.

Really great comparison but I'm so sad your liquid latex was all faulty & dried up! I was too impatient to order anything online so I got some liquid latex at Party City and then of course haven't used it yet LOL but when I saw your disaster I had to run & pull it out the bag to make sure it was at least still liquid =) (mine is fine btw ... you really have to let that seller know they suck!)
