I've learned with the "diy glue" (since I can't afford any of the good sh!t) not to mix it with water. Just use a eyeliner brush and "paint" it around your nail and use the tip of the brush to get close to the nail. And do a second layer. I did it many times and the most time it took to dry was about two minutes. It peeled fine, it didn't break and held up well with the cuticle. I know Cristine hates glue but for us people who can't afford the actual good stuff glue actually works well. Just, not with water.

Thanks for the demo and btw, since your video post 5 years ago, Kiesque now has 2 different bottles of Liquid Palisade on their website for $14 each but I still think it's pricey for such a small amount but maybe it goes further than I imagine. Simona Corrias I use to spread it all over my hands as well as a child. You have to put a nice layer on it because if its to thin you will not be able to peel it off evenly. Thinner parts stick to your hands and do not come off in one pull.

I just use the UNT peel of basecoat as a “liquid latex.” It works really well and dries quickly. I’ve only used it for when doing glitter nails but it worked great for that so I’m sure it would with other things!

@@toniamaya6835 i used it as a peel-off basecoat for regular polish, regular glitter polish, gel polish, and gel glitter polish. It can be a little pricey though depending on how much you use it, so if you don't wanna spend that much on it, regular Elmer's glue works just as great, if not better. The only thing is that it does take a few minutes to dry. For me, all my nails dried within ten minutes when I used the glue.

Hey I just wanted to let you know that I just bought a peel off polish from NYC (so it's really cheap!) For only 2.00 USD... it works surprisingly well! It's really a BASE COAT for making it easier to peel off polishes but I just tried it as a peel away for my cuticles and it works great! It comes off in one strip and doesn't chip! A great alternative for us broke girls!

I use the Mehron liquid latex cause i couldn't find any of these in my country - it works perfectly fine. The reason it's dried up is probably the shipping/handling; the one time i ordered it online, it came out in clumps. Now i just buy it at the local costume store and it's completely liquid.

In regards to the liquid latex, i think in your case it was due to the product being shipped out and maybe by the time you got it it dried out? I recently went and bought a bottle of liquid latex from my craft store (because i do nail art too :D) anyway, so i went home to try it straight away and it was creamy and it also applied thickly and dried so fast! the peel off process was great too, came off in one swipe. To be honest it was exactly like Simply Peel! :) Not saying you're wrong or your judgement is bad (i love you and your videos to death) haha, but all i'm saying for anyone watching- don't count liquid latex out, it's still a brilliant product to use. Bit of advice- try and buy it IN stores instead of online, your chances might be better :) Great video though! You are absolutely hilarious and your nail art is always on point :D xx

Cristine with the cheap DIY peel off thingy its better to just use glue and not the water im very cheap so i don't want to buy anything very expensive for my nails. but with the glue i think it takes about 2-4 minutes to dry and it works fine for me (ly cristine xx)

This is what I do! I use regular ol' Elmer's glue and apply with a brush similar to the applicator on the second peel-off. It's cost efficient, dries quickly, goes on smoothly, and peels off all in one. I have tried a glue and water mixture and I did not like the results. It just wasn't easy to use and didn't come off very nicely. So if you are like me and don't want to buy a real peel off, this glue does the trick. However, an actual peel off will always be better because they are actually designed for nail art. So if you have the ability go for the real deal. And as for those of you who say you don't need anything at all for a flawless nail art, I hope selling your soul was really worth it.
