I lived in Labelle- Muce side on husbands family farm and Pine Island… boy was that a culture shock for me from my country side NY and midtown Manhattan upbringing. It felt isolating. But now that NY is horrible to live in I’m leaving and never coming back. My husband was right on that. It was a mistake to come back. Although my kids got to spend time with my family. Not worth it with Nazi NY. Probably land back in the pine island / Cape Coral area. Sucks the pricing is so high now! Such is life. Bonita Springs and Punta Gorda were always a favorite. Side note: Lehigh was always known as the dreggs & not very safe place to live. But I guess more land there and everything is changing.

Cape Coral is really turning into the place to be... Still not super commercial (that's nice!) but has class & safety. The Parks are awesome. Not Beach Centric... but Boating Heaven. Nice restaurants and social resources too. The Bridge access is a pain... but a minor negative. Excellent overview of the area. Well Done!

You are better off going in an area with an HOA because you could get a neighbor that keeps their house like crap and it will devalue your property
