Through 9 seasons, McDavid has 7 100 point seasons, Lindros had 1, so obviously McDavid Peter Forsberg wins by a country mile, it's not even up for debate You know I'm kind of torn on this one. a healthy Lemieux would have definitely went toe to toe with Gretzky for all time points and a bunch of records as well. Gretzky was the better assist producer and Lemieux was the better goal scorer in terms of assists and goals per game. I'm going to have to though go with Gretzky. Nothing will ever come close to his prime ever. The man averaged over 200 points from 1981/82-1986/87 season. Absolutely crazy. I pity those that never got to see him play.

You can make an argument for any player who was drafted in those positions that played this season. I'm a Penguins fan, so I would say Sidney Crosby would be my choice at #1, based on the fact that he had a remarkable season for a player at 36 years old. McDavid is the consensus #1, but I'd agree a case could be made for Matthews as well.
