I've been thinking about why I like Mario recently, and I think it's due to how whimsical these games can feel. The best Mario games take you on this light hearted adventure with whimsy and childlike wonder (Super Paper Mario being an exception.Game's good, just dark) This game does that feeling damn near perfectly!

Notice how the perpetual jump badge is black and triangular. That means it's a challenge badge. It generally makes levels a bit harder for funsies and give you some additional boost. There's one where you're constantly running and can never stop unless you hit a wall. As a tradeoff, you can walk on the air a bit and even jump in the air. You should try using those because they make most levels a lot more interesting

The bubble Power Up is broken but the Cap glide ability can make you climb Walls Infinity with walljumping and then gliding

Well, I'm sure it has its pros and cons. As someone from a country near the equator and has never seen snow, the heat is pain. Wearing t-shirts and shorts won't cut it much unless it's windy, and at times you gotta wear more proper clothes and move out in the heat all sweaty. It's unhealthy to be in an air conditioned room when you're all sweaty too so you gotta bear with it more to dry out or try not to get too sweaty. There may be times where it doesn't rain for over a month or two too, so it's just hot days all the time without much wind (unless your place is near the ocean or is in the mountains. Fortunately I live near those areas, I see other countries experiencing worse with heat waves... pointing at India with infamous asphalt-melting heat waves... my condolences really..)... Not to mention global warming, whose name literally implies the heat is just getting worse... Regardless though, I'm sure people who grow up in different areas grow more accustomed to their respective climate. Our electric bills eaten up by air cons or heaters haha

So much of what Brent said is true i'll admit recently ive tried playing NSMBU DX and its such a snooze fest like everyworld is the same as the last mario games pretty much same order too the power ups felt mid/uninspired like oh cool we get to be a flysquirrel for gliding doesnt help the propeller suit and tanooki suit already exist plus how on earth is anyone supposed to find any of those secret exits without looking up a guide where here every secret exit is easy to see how to get to, i love the Take a break stages to add a bit of variety and the throwback songs (world 4 has my favorites) are amazing, i like each of the new power ups, the badges are a welcoming addition but using the weegee jump badge just to get the collectibles personally, all the changes to make this game beautiful like scenery and the animations and thank GOD they got rid of the stereotypical world lay out, plus theyve added some elements from 3D World (got to get top of the flag pole of every stage for 100%) this is easily the Mario Odyssey of the Mario Bros series its super fun to play but Wonder has stiff competition for GOTY between TOTK and Spider-man 2

Hey, Brent. In regards to you hating winter and loving summer, you should not come down to the southern part of the US. As someone who lives there, most people I talk to agree that summer sucks. It’s like 105 F on a good day, the humidity makes it worse, and we have mosquitoes, wasps, nats, and all other shit that hates you. Reason why people I know love winter, is because those bugs are back in hell where they belong. Love your content, and can’t wait to see more.
