In other words to wrap the exercise around by meals, I'd say ideally 2 proper meals before, one after exercise to get as much energy in/ to create as much glycogen, to get as much pump as possible.

I dont eat sugar or carbs all day, then eat a chocolate right before my workout (personal favourite is a lindor) It gives me the energy of ten jackrabbits and its only 80 calories and zero caffeine

Based on my experience, I have overall better performance, when I am hungry, which is why I train in the morning. But this is just because, we are all different and we gotta look what works best for us. Great advice tho.

I eat white toast with pbfit, a banana, and 1 scoop of protein in cold brew coffee. I gotta keep mine light and simple carbs/low fat and fiber since I don't quite have a full hour between breakfast and working out.
