I like crusading strikes, uptime on melee range is so variable in different pvp modes, and there is always something to press either offensively or defense, its automatic as soon as I get close enough one goes off, and does not require 2 globals to get it while I can use those 2 for something else, definitely templar strikes hits harder though

Hi, I have a question, in your icy veins guide you only have PVP vendor items equipped except for the 2 embellished items (crafting), but looking at your armory you got a crafted ring with versatility/mastery instead of the vendor haste/versatility one, is there a reason for the difference? Do you think that it is better to craft certain items to get mastery instead of haste?

I’ve been testing out running normal wings instead of crusader. I feel more bursty as opposed to crusade. But only played a few matches with it. I also cannot get back into Templar strikes after going almost a year of never hitting crusader strike in DF

Ret is not even close to the strength of Unholy DK or Fury Warr. Not even close mate. Lvladen keeps positive vibes for content but Ret is in real dire condition once you reach higher rating.

UhDk and fury are better picks, but they keep nerfing them so not necessarily safe picks right now. Play what you enjoy! I think Ret is performing well in the games I have played so far :) and my solo shuffle mmr is around the mmr cap right now ~2190 (I think it can go a bit higher but I’m not there yet)

Your performance takes into account. They try to match your CR with your hidden MMR by giving you less/more points

Any possibility you will make a video about the following issues for ret. PvP talent ideas or things that need a rework, as they seem to listen to your feedback a little. None of them are real PvP talents, are dated, dont work, or are useless. Not having to put 5 talents into steed in the next patch. Thats crazy amount of points into a horse. Forbearance being outdated, ST damage needing a small buff on FV as our spenders are lagging. WoG not being where it should be for heals with HP pools being at 6m+ in this expansion. Shield being 20% vs 10% I think the biggest thing they could likely do without even having to make any changes would actually be to look at unnerfing some of the PvP specific nerfs they did as in the current game they dont make sense. Even if they buffed our ST FV, or made a few of these small changes. We'd still be the least mobile class in the game, with no closers, limited cc. But it would make us more competitive in 3's as currently there are only 14 rets in the top 1000

I'm having a lot of trouble getting the bubble right. I'm taking insane damage when life reaches 30%, if i press 20% or less the global kills me. Does anyone have any tips on how to deal with this? I even tried putting a /stopcast but it hasn't been effective. My haste is a trash (8%), I know it will improve throughout the season but in any case I accept any contribution.

It really depends on situations, but for example, when the match starts and If you know you would be the target, you should start with the bubble because people will Burst CD you, after bubble until it comes out of cooldown you could try to stay alive by using 2-shields (well…actually 1) and flash lights (yes I have them on no cast 6sec cooldown talented)

My advice would be to learn what other classes cooldowns do and slowly get a feel for how much your defensives do. For example if I’m 1v1ing a DK and I have freedom, blind, steed, and divine protection + SoV and the DK has apoc/ and an active AMS I know I can’t blind and survive through walls and kiting but if he does not have an active AMS I can double wall, blind, freedom/ steed away and the DK will trinket and grip me in which case I will wake of ashes stun all his pets and apply an eternal flame and a defensive Dawnlight and still have duration on my steed and freedom to get away. That’s a situation where you have to weigh bubble vs double wall+ heal.

Bg blitz Is my rating cheat code 1800 already played sane games in bg blitz and solo shuffle and it's like a 300 point difference and when I lose I lose no points I'm about to finish a 3 12s weekend at work then ima shoot for 1950 or higher in either solo shuffle or blitz for holy flame enchant then go for 2100 weapon even tho they ugly lol so happy they lowered requirements for people like me who go 10 to 20 games positive but still struggle hitting 2400 because some weird internal score blizzard has on each players account I've seen people go like 40 games positive still be like 1700 at the end of a season insane and so unfair

They are 1700 because they cant beat people with higher mmrs. If you go +40 against 1700 players but -20 against 2k players you dont belong w 2K players. They simply start to lose as the comp gets better.

This is the reasoning right here yes. You need to maintain the high win rate as you increase in MMR. Say you go 6-0 in a 1600 bracket, then 3-3 in an 1800 bracket, then 4-2 in a 1700 bracket, then 3-3 in an 1800 your win rate is going up but each time you advance to the next mmr bracket you are performing the same. The best way to climb is to get multiple 6-0’s or 5-1’s in a row. Minimum 2 but ideally 3. You will see a very large mmr jump after that.

Ret is solid in arenas but its completely worthless in bgs its just a punching bag for base defense

I find it the opposite, I’m able to apply mass dot pressure in BGs but unable to confirm kills, top damage and strain the enemy teams healer. In arenas I just get smacked left and right and have little to no pressure. I miss my single target damage tho, used to be able to smack things out of existence so fast.
