It is shield of vengeance made to look like sacred shield. Its situational. Sometimes you don't need to SoV because divine protection will provide your healer with enough leverage to keep you healthy. If your healer is in CC then you will most likely need to press both together.

Expurgation is about 3% of our damage breakdown and a 3% additional overall holy damage increase (aka all of our damage) and 10% on our empyrean legacy procs. I mean its not the most exciting talent but there are no other better options.

@@LvladenPvP idk man I honestly kind of love Inquisitor's Ire & Rush of Light. Divine Storm buffed by a full stacked Ire into Empyrean Legacy trucks too much to give up, and an extra 5% haste is always nice during Crusade because verdict & HoL crit a pretty good amount for a stat that isn't really prioritized. I've cleaned up teamfights in Blitz countless times with these, currently sitting 2400 mmr, continuing to climb as we speak.

@ check your details for RoL buff uptime. It is VERY low. Haste also does almost nothing for us at these levels. DS is often 2% or lower of our overall damage on players. Buffing a minor number like that by 30% once every 20 sec isn’t really that good. If you needed to press DS outside of empyrean legacy for whatever reason even once holy flames is already better. And if we’re comparing mmrs my Ret is sitting. 3150mmr in my last lobby and both of my rets are in r1 solo shuffle range 😬

Nope! Burning crusade only applies to radiant damage. Empyrean hammers are unfortunately not radiant.

I have, I currently don't think its necessary. The damage is okay but you lose a lot of tankiness running it. The damage is also not supposed to be that high. The ring is nerfed in PvP but for whatever reason the nerfs are not currently active.

@ I’ve noticed the same when I tested on a dummy, the dam contribution seemed significantly less that of an outlaw rogue, and the loss of vers is a big hit. Ty for feedback!

Hi. I'd like to thank you for posting any type of content when the PvP scene currently lacks paladins. As a newcomer to wow, you've been extremely helpful. Personally, I'd like to see any form of solo shuffle, even if it doesn't have any commentary. On top of that, what I'm most interested into as a paladin player is written guides. Some things and ideas I still don't have answers for: - Who to target on opening - When to play Repentance / Blinding light - When to play herald / templar - What is the gameplan as herald / templar - Maybe some 2s examples with commentary would be nice, as well as real 3s instead of solo shuffle (just so we can see an example of an organized match vs the chaos in solo) - An updated macro guide - You've spoken about the "heal lead" and I'm very curious what that means. This is just a part of the questions I have and it's either very hard to find or the information simply doesn't exist, and I'm baffled how such an old game lacks a proper streaming community / content creators. I'm also a programmer and I got so passionate about wow PvP (I started 3 weeks ago), that I'm also really willing to contribute to this community. If you're willing to create quality content, I can help you with a nice website, maybe manage a community for you, etc. (all for free, as long as I get to learn stuff during the process). Probably because there isnt a clear way of setting it up.

Its bugged right now. Temporarily its pretty good but whenever they fix the pvp nerfs and actually apply them it will go back to being unusable in PvP.

Both work! Can play either. I play both kinda depending on my mood. Templar is pretty good into double melee comps where you have good uptime and herald probably has a small advantage vs ranged. You can play either spec into anything though.

You want to maintain expurgation. If you switch targets constantly, the talent which buffs your spender damage to the target with expurgation up won't be used as much. That's why it's used a lot instead of the 2HP BoJ builder.

@@michaelbeleut6480 Why is expurgation even used though? It's such an overrated talent. Its literally the weakest dot i've ever seen, under details it does very slightly more damage than Consecration on average. On top of that, the other talent that makes targets take 3% more dmg while afflicted by Expurg... Just why? 3% isn't even that much either, so thats also a waste. Too many rets these days just love reaching. Put those 2 talents into something more.. idk... umph-y?

@@plague6174 you have so many talent points that if you were to take those out of expurgation and the 3% buff, you’d probably have way more weak damage options. I recall that if you do take those out and try to take other talents, you have the options for gaining 2% haste and 10% more damage on your crusader strike critical strikes. That isn’t even close to worth it at all.

Yeah I have double focusing lens when running lens. The nerubian armor patch is on my boots so I just made another pair of boots with focusing lens on them too.

How time has changed from us becoming random nuke bombs but tanks. To Nuke bombs and tanky, to Nuke bombs but shuishy, to Medicore burst and shuishy, to a bit more tanky but no nuke, to back to the beginning just trying to survive and outlast and oom or outlast their cooldowns which is not possible anymore lol

Is that realy true? I came back to WoW recently and try PvP for the first time. In my opinion our burst is quite strong. Ok, I am just 1850 in solo an 2200 in bg blitz but I really think our dmg is good even if it's predictable. Especally in 1v1 we shine. But maybe all that changes if you climb the ladder.
