I no longer wish any revenge on my narc-ex gf. I just don't want her (or any other toxic person) in my life.

My life has been better since my ex left me, yes I was close to suicide unfortunately because I gave her all, sold my car to buy her a car, almost everything in her apartment belongs to me, I helped her a lot. When she left me, I had only $40 left in my account. Am grateful am happy now and moving on with my life, a lot of things has happened since she left.

My advice to anyone considering marriage to someone is this. If you see flaws in their character, such as anger issues, lack of morality, unfaithfulness, greed, laziness, being inconsiderate. . . take a step or three back and wait. Wait and watch them carefully. I saw a red flag or two in my ex-husband that I chose to ignore, to my hurt. The marriage never should have happened.

Don’t live in spite of someone, live because you are smarter and look forward to tomorrow. Very smart advise, anger consumes a lot of your energy and a complete waste of your time. This is a big part of their M.O. . This is why they future fake you, lead you to believe all is good in the relationship. The next move is destroying that by whatever methods hurt the most. It might take a bit of time to get back on your feet and get moving, it’s a complete unexpected shock that there are people like this out there. Easier said than done sometimes , leave their miserable world behind and live well, above all don’t look back.

Joel, can you discuss the importance of forgiving yourself after Narcissist abuse. I feel that is a big part of moving on. Looking into the mirror and telling yourself sorry for letting someone treat you so badly. Forgiveness is so important to me.

To the one who asked me about forgiveness. I feel that forgiveness comes in stages. Like when you go through the grieving process when you lose someone you love. You might feel shock, pain, anger, depression, then things might start to look better and you start working on your self and truly accepting what happened to you. The truth of what took place in your life. Once you come to true acceptance, you start to develop a new perspective on the matter. You can turn what happened to you into a positive thought. Thinking about what you learned. For example... I learned what a Narcissist looks like now. I will never allow another Narcissist in my life. I will protect myself, I will listen to my self. Things like this. In your heart you can understand that it was not your fault. You had no idea about Narcissism. Most people don't. It's okay. That makes it easier to forgive yourself. Knowing you didn't know. Than you can start working on your happiness. You can start doing wonderful things that you enjoy doing. You actually start cleaning off the mud that the narc threw at you, that covered your beautiful light. Little by little your light starts shinning bright and beautiful again. You start to see the real you. That helps you to let go of that pain and disappointment that lives in you. You realize you still have a lot of life in you and it's time to start living. Not for them, but for you. It's your turn. 🦋🦋🦋🦋

Mine during the discard (last one) said “you’ll never have someone better than me..” I looked at her and start to laugh 😂 before she left said “how’s going to be when we have a child”.. bro nothing could actually make sense like wtf 2y living together, almost 3y without realising I was sleeping with my enemy .. next day she texted me saying that she only wanted me to be happy with my next gf and that she wants a last conversation with me... didn’t reply, just took all my stuff from that house.. start to do all sports I’ve stoped cause of her, going out with everyone and lots of fun... she can’t even look at me, she’s not saying hi to anyone of my friends or family.. she just put her face down.. shame to the core.. that was my revenge, doing nothing, didn’t care and living a happy life
