G-Skill screwed me on their warranty. RAM worked great for months had in a PC that barely ever moved. Ram went defective out of the nowhere and process an RMA with them. They allowed me to send the RMA through that cost me $8 in S&H. a couple days later they tell me the RAM had physical damage ( it didn't when I shipped it ) and told me they wouldn't honor the warranty and never sent me pictures of the damages described. Now I'm out $82. $74 for the single Dimm + $8 for S&H. I've bought their products for years and it worked great and have had great RMA experiences with them before but this one soured my experiences with them and I won't buy any future memory kits from them even if I do like how the kits look which is a shame.

I use linux, and I do not like rgb in the ram, if when I login on windows I shut them down, will this setting continue when I login to linux? if you does not have linux to test, the color settings that you put, appears so that you press the power button, or only after windows start?

Been doing alot of research because I ordered some for my z370 I5 build and everyone says it will work great. Unfortunately I dont think they have ram made specifically for it, like with z170, but as long as you don"t have a weird or super cheap motherboard, it should run at full Mhz

If GSkill is not going to produce software to control RGB on ALL operating systems, including Linux, then a manual on/off switch for the RGB is required. I have a Linux system and I have no relief from the garish default lightshow. Maybe I'll paint black over the lights.

there is no seperate connection the motherboard. you just plug them into your DIMM slots and away you go. if you want to modify the colors and patterns you need to install the software from their website.

I can't find an answer to this question anywhere on the damn internet. The almost-answer I keep coming across is that it should be fine as long as you don't use Asus Aura and the G.Skill software at the same time, or just don't customize the lights.

If I were to get a 4x16 gb would it be the same thing as 2x32 gb? Reason I say this is because the 2x32 isn’t in stock and would take 5 weeks to ship. The 4x16 is in stock and it’ll only be a week.

4x16 is still 64gb of ram if you have 4 slots go for it it’ll look better then 2x32
