It's such a shame we only got one season of David Johnsons prime. After his 2017 wrist injury he ran scared like he didnt want to get hit anymore. Coincidentally his son was born shortly after that injury. Probably didnt want to get beat up for the sake of wanting to do things with his child in the future. Got his bag and played it safe. Nonetheless, 2016 was unreal. Ill never forget that season.

He should’ve been picked for 2018 in this video, and it isn’t close. He had better volume AND efficiency in every stat category aside from TDs despite playing with one of the worst offensive lines and coaching-staffs in the league while Gurley was behind one of the league’s best O-lines and had one of the best play-designers and callers of all time along with a great passing offense that could actually get him into the redzone to have TD opportunities. Giving Gurley 2017 over Fournette is dirty. Gurley is a beast but the Rams offense was a system and it got smacked down in the wild card. Fournette on the other hand, there was no system other than give it to Lenny. Those 2 games against the steelers are some of the best performances a running back ever had. 90 yard touchdowns and telling defenders to come get it. And he turned it on in the playoffs and if it wasnt for some Patriots referee magic the Jags woulda made the Superbowl with playoff Lenny becoming Lombardi Lenny year one. Also worth noting that Lenny got a ring and most of these dudes dont.

@KaiTheBeachKid nah ur just looking at it from a weakazz fantasy perspective I'm looking at it as to what wins games. The jags gave Lenny the keys to their offense and no other running back with that authority took their team that far in 2017. When he told Mike Mitchell to come get it in that first game vs the Steelers he won that teams trust and respect. If Gurley had that kinda respect they woulda fed him the rock more.
