I didn't know you'd pick one game per letter and thought it was a 'best of' list from A to Z in general. It would be impossible for me to compile a list by choosing one per letter! Great video, though, always good to watch more Saturn videos!

Great video with lots of good games! The Saturn had hardware support for polygons, but it rendered polygons as quadrilaterals instead of triangles. Some people seem to think this was “less 3d” for whatever reason, but there wasn’t a standard for rendering back then. Nvidia’s first GPU also rendered in quads. This was fine for games made for Saturn, but it complicated porting PlayStation games to Saturn quite a bit. Tomb Raider was designed for the Saturn from the ground up and was released on the Saturn first.

I actually forgot Tomb Raider was designed for the Saturn, and thanks for the clear explanation of everything else!

Interesting take on the top saturn games formula. Good vid dude. Please however, less of the 'playstation did proper polygons whereas the saturn did not'. The playstation was pseudo 3d just as the saturn was, the main differences were the shape of the polygons i.e. triangles vs quads (the latter of which sega was using in its model arcade boards), and the way textures were mapped. The saturn could do 3d worlds as well - the difficulty was more around how to get the best performance out of the system vs the playstation. Tomb raider 2 ended up on playstation only because Sony did an exclusivity deal with Core. It's important to get this stuff right as otherwise it is perpetuating myths around the reasons why decisions were taken, but which are just false.
