Assetto Corsa Competizione is in my opinion one of the best sim racing games to improve as a driver and for beginner sim racers. The narrow focus on a few car classes, the practice mode, and replay mode offer some great tools to analyse and improve your driving.

Yup. ACC is the sim where I've learned the most about setup and evolved the most as a driver.

@@hubertoboberto5051 I had some experince from other racing games so some things I already knew. But yeah watch youtube tutorials, tips & tricks and track guides and practice practice practice. Also don't be afraid to race, you learn a lot from racing against faster drivers.

@@axelode45 yea im actually sometimes scared to race. I think it's cuz i don't want to be at the back of the pack but I guess that's one of the steps to getting better

If you're a masochist you can start rallying rear-wheel-driven cars in Dirt Rally 2.

I started out in iRacing almost two years ago and only recently got into ACC. It's a completely different animal but I dig it a lot. I'm still trying to get my license but it's a process. For me, anyway. What's so amazing to me is the fact that you can offer all this information and commentary while at the same time your playing some jazzy tune on the piano. What a talented young man.

ACC is one of the sims I have owned for the longest time, but I had never truly devoted any time into. I love driving on classic AC, AMS2, Raceroom and rally sims. But never really liked the FFB of ACC. Until these past couple weeks, I gave it another try. Oh boy, did it feel completely different and much better now. I'm sure they changed and improved the FFB, but also I evolved and improved a lot as a driver in this meantime since the last time I tried it. And now, I can't get enough of driving on it. I feel an urge to keep driving and keep improving with it. I feel exactly what you said in this video, it's the best sim to improve myself as a driver, the best environment to learn. I'm going to sign up for LFM and seek ranked races.

With the 1.8 update from some months ago they improved the ffb detail and tire model which gave it a completely new driving feel, which I really enjoy. Good luck out there, and maybe I'll ram you sometime in an LFM race!

I don't think I agree with this, acc for me personally feels numb to drive, I never forget that I'm on a sim when I'm driving in acc and this for me make it hard to learn the game, on the other hand every other sim racing game I own feels great and I can easily forget I'm not in a real car (especially in vr), this is even true for the f1 games, I can often do an hour race in what feels like minutes, whereas in acc I can do a 20 minute race and wonder when it's going to end. Acc just feels completely different to all other sims, so therefore in my mind it is not great to learn from. I would say original ac is the game, but finding competition is not easy on ac, that is acc's best feature, you can always find people ready to race who are quicker than you. I personally learned how to race driving classic f1 cars and group c cars on assetto corsa, I had to very quickly learn how to tame the beast, then I moved over to modern f1 cars and le mans cars, which then taught me how to use the track to gain time, as I didn't have to put much of my attention into keeping the car pointing the correct way. This time on ac with f1 cars made me buy my first f1 game, in which I am roughly 9 tenths off of esports pace, I also play a lot with the open wheelers on race room, sometimes winning the regular competitions, that is the ones that the Williams esports drivers don't enter and beat me by over a second usually. Eventually I wanted some people to race against when I wasn't league racing, so I bought acc, spent hours playing with the force feedback, hours changing the setup of various cars and trying them all, ended up driving pretty much the porsche exclusively as it was the only one that felt okay, then I loaded up ac with a 911 gt3 and thought wow, this feels soooo much nicer to drive. I have 160 hours on acc now, every single time I go to play it I spend maybe 2 hours on it before I'm either bored or frustrated, so I go to play another sim.
