In a very short time I have seen you go from terrific KZbin reviewer to, I think, a KZbin influencer. An important part in the creative process with good, honest feedback. I bet there are modders right now thinking to themselves, "I wonder what Feb would think of this bit here?" Every one of them trying to figure out where to put the loo, more indoor green space, rich and interactive textures and features and just....one....more....plantable soil. An oooOOOOooooo or lovelovelove from Feb in a review being the modders version of the Gold Medal. Glad to see your numbers growing for subs -well deserved!

Your channel is a gem. The detail, the calm voice, the immersion. Very professional and I can tell you put in good effort to these videos and produce quality content. Also, a mere suggestion, you should download and install immersive hud for your game. It allows you to toggle the HUD and markers from your screen with a hotkey. It seems small but it makes a huge difference.

All of them are really cool, some I've seen already like Monolith, but worth another look. Great video as always also just a note I think that The Elder Scrolls version of Christmas is Saturalia it's mostly a Breton tradition there's a small pack from the Creation Club, gets you some clothes for the tradition and a rideable reindeer. This was a good vid and that Breeze Manor is amazing! Dang that place is already so flipping awesome, that will be awesome when it's done.

Hey Feb, I know I'm a little late, sorry about that. I think it's great that you're summarizing the modding year 2020 in this video and showing us your "best houses". For me, a review of the past year is somehow part of the Christmas season, just like our Ore Mountains traditions (candle arches, incense smokers, Nutcracker dolls, Christmas pyramids, angels and miner's figures, ...), gingerbread and "A Christmas Carol". Even if the video is over 50 minutes long, it was nice to hear your opinion on the shown mods again. No matter what kind of video you make, it's always interesting, you make me smile and sometimes even dream. I'm usually not that gushy with compliments like that, but with your videos I can just tell that you have a lot of fun doing them and giving us your opinion. As for the houses shown, it was a great selection. Even if I'm not a fan of large castles and villas, there was something for everyone. Good job and very well done!

Hello Feb! One aspect, i always put into the decission of "Good or Not so Good" is the cicumstance if the Home is located in a dangerous area or even, not. Dragon-Attacks, regularily visits of bandits from near-by, etc. Nordieu is one of my personal favourites, not only because of the safty, of course. Cozy, functional - Home! :-) Wind Path, near Ivarstead is such a one, too. I am sure you know it. (it´s not from 2020, though) Santa is on his way!

I was a smidge disappointed that some of these homes are no longer available on Nexusmods, but only because of your overview and recommendations. I wish they were still there - they look gorgeous. OMG - The Sidrat made the top 12! Hurrah! Work is still ongoing on The Sidrat - and next release will include extentions to the Matrix, a clockwork castle, a village in a giant tree filled with wood elves with west country (or is it pirate?) accents. Great video showcasing some of what the community has donated this year. My LE game has an open slot available for an end game home and I have an eye on a place near a lake. Now I just need to ...well, everything seeing as I'm just rolling out today ...hopefully ...if everything remains stable. The North Star retreat is my most favorite home I actually live in . There are so many beautiful home mods out there but I just can’t live without my Northstar retreat and it’s swimming pool indoor. I love love love it. You should check it out. The only fault with it is some of the weapons cases don’t work but it’s fantastic. I play a Female altmer and I have ondolemar as my follower and it hangs the dominion banners by the pool. It’s located just west of Doawnstar On the sea of ghosts ocean. The key is hidden in a basket by the shrine of DiBella or Mara Out in front of the house. There are several large statues and shrines

The only mod I can comment on (sadly) is Dovakiin's Island Retreat. I really like this mod. It's simple, has everything you need, laid out well, room for about 8 followers, etc. But I had to turn it off because after a while followers stopped coming inside. They would go to the basement bar but wouldn't go anywhere else in the house. I have no clue why this happened. I got into MO2 and LOOT; found no conflicts. I moved it in my load order. I tried with one follower and then 4 followers. No go. I'll try again, probably in another play-through.

Wow. I made it through the whole thing! I must confess, I've never really had an interest in house mods for Skyrim. My favourite one remains the Hunter's Cabin of Riverwood. I've never liked all those posh and gaudy homes, so in general I stay well away from player homes, and videos for them as well. I actually found this channel because of that thumbnail of the little cabin in the mountains that you use as your intro. I was looking for some Winter wallpaper for my laptop and found your channel through that image. Then I heard your voice, and that drew me in. I decided to give your channel a chance, and now I'm glad I did. I must say, I do share your taste somewhat. We're both plant people, you and I, and I'll bet you have a fab little garden at home too. have you once ever had an issue where installing a house mod messed up a save game you had/and or glitched any of your inventory? im gonna use lots of house mods soon cus i love your vids im just worried about save game corruption / item glitching lol

Yes to the messing up a save game - only in old Skyrim, not in SSE, and it was before I learnt to make a fresh save, install only one mod at a time, make sure it worked well and then, if I didn't like it, disable it and return to that fresh save! Never had my inventory borked though, that's a new one!

It would be nice if someone made a mod that was an in game recruiting center for followers/spouse/ house carl, where you could basically use the character creation menu to create new NPCs and customize race, gender, etc.

Legacy of the Dragonborn is simply amazing, but it requieres a lot of patches to make it compatible whit the most popular mods. Also, it could become very overwhelming and frustatring trying to complete the entire museum. In other topic, one of the things i hate from house mod is the lack of a proper food storage or a functional kitchen layout. I mean, im a cook and those things really keeps my atention, and i would never store raw meat in a simply barrel, so i really apreciate a frozen room/container to store food.

Dear Feb. Thanks for the video. I do have a question for you. I've noticed that in some building mods, the enb settings regarding interior day / night adjustments behave as if it were always day. Any thoughts? That really ruins the immersion. In Nevah's Rest, for example. In Morskom Estate, on the other hand, everything works like a charm. Any thoughts? Thanks and Merry Christmas!

I have a question that I have unsuccessfully searched for an answer to for a while now, and since you have experience with many house mods, I am hoping that you could possibly answer for me. I know you have a very busy schedule creating videos for KZbin, but I'm hoping you can find time to help me with this. I am creating a play through for a character that uses various business mods and estate mods. The idea is for the character to build a business empire throughout Skyrim, having businesses and estates in as many holds as possible. A lot of the estate mods have the same display rack for the same items: dragon priest masks, dragon claws, etc. If i were to use a mod like AddItemMenu that allows you to obtain items directly into your inventory and then place the same items in different house mods for display would it create problems in my game? Have you ever done anything like this? The idea would be for each estate house to have the same displays.

What I've done in the past once I've earned the item (of course!) is just to look up the ID number of the item and then player.additem ******* so that I can then place it on the display. These days I usually just stuff EVERYthing in the Dragonborn Museum and not bother about the rest of my homes!

@@FebrithDarkstar Thanks for the reply. I have never had problems from using AddMenuItem for the occasional armor or weapon., even if it's a quest item. I think I will start off with a few quest items stored in different places and do some test run to see if it all works. If i get a broken quest, then i will have my answer! I just don't like having all of those empty display racks and cases in each house.

I've had multiple masks in various homes at one time and had no issues if that's any help!

​@@FebrithDarkstar You should try Enhanced Lights And Fx. And notice how the interiors change. Since you are reviewing house mods, it should make them look a lot better. I'm pretty sure you'll like it.
