I’ve never been a big fan of Audi with their “safe” handling. But you just can’t deny the RS3 with that sound track! 5 pots have the best sound of any engine imo! Even 5pot dervs sound well

I just bought a 2016 model. Completely in love. Agree with everything you’ve said. I test drove so many cars, but the Audi won me over with the 5 cylinder sound, and total packaging. 😊

Totally agree with you about the sound. My PFL has the Sports exhaust, Milltek secondary decat and Eventuri intake and it sounds awesome. It’s been tuned by MoreBHP and those who know Mike Ball will know how he works with Tom Wrigley so he knows how to tune a car. A nice 449bhp means it’s very rapid and makes that 5 pot sound so special. Love it.

I will only say that I still have this model in sepang blue since 8 years ago when it came out new and I have no intention to sell it... the car is amazing and it is just as you describe it... yes the new one is faster and has more power but I don't care, this 8v pfl model will go down in history.

Nice video! Had Rs3 FL and Rs3 PFL and PFL indeed sounds way more better and more reliable than DAZA engine. Also it is really great that we still can enjoy such cars in all the hype of e-cars :)

That’s got to be the nicest pre-facelift I’ve seen, very well spec’d, love that colour. Super sports seats too, very nice. I’d still take the facelift though.

Hey, I have the same leyo intake and exact same model, my car doesnt go stututu it only goes pshh softly, any way to make the sound louder apart from removing the airbox

I think the facelift pre opf rs3 seems to be the sweet spot for the rs3 expecially out of the box, not to take away anything from this rs3 looks fantastic.
