300 grit sandpaper gets you the same results, use the sandpaper to rough up your pan edge. We've been doing that for years. 👍

I had a regular Garrett pan before, but since going to the super sluice I improved my take of flour gold.

I would have to agree,I catch alot of flower gold in that Garrett super sluice pan,its definitely one great pan.

Just want to let you know I’ve been on a Vo-Gus binge now for almost a week. I’m blasting thru lots of your videos all the while “liking” and commenting on all of them! Just doing my part to support the channel bc it’s such epic content. Between you and Pioneer Paulie I get my daily gold fix!

I don't have snake skin, so I'll just get some very course wet and dry or emery paper and drag it across the smooth plastic from side to side for a micro filter, or do circles, whatever suits you. Great idea, thanks.

Blue bowl with snakeskin bottom--Wow! I bet that would be SUPER!

I totally agree with you. The skin should be after the mini riffles. Natural progression. If you wanna go from big riff direct to smooth, you still can

Gotta say that "Snake Skin" looks like it works very well. Old Timers used the rusty metal pans for the exact same purpose. Makes good sense. Might have to add one of those to my ever growing arsenal of pans and products. Great video as always, Chris.....!!!!

Hey There!! That new XP Metal Detector you were using was awesome! Especially with the snake skin pattern on the inside! I have never prospected for gold before. After seeing your video and some others, makes me want to order an XP Metals Detector!! I love it outside/streams, etc. Getr Done!! God bless you, and be safe!!😀

Great video Chris. Love the intermittent nature shots. The super sluice is easy to modify. Thermo plastics are easy to alter with a torch or heat gun: just need something with a texture you wanna stamp into your pan.

Great idea but if you use a semi rough sand paper on the smoother side of a pan you get really close to the same effect. I do it to almost all of my gold pans!!

Ahoj Chris, cleaning to pure gold into the river??? WOW...That is the high level panning I want to achieve... I did buy material for cleanup sluice, but as I learned to use XP pans, I didn't build the cleanup sluice yet... No need... So, your statement, that XP pans are as good as cleanup sluice is true. At least for small amounts of gold.
