I watched these for the first time last year. Each movie has their own charm to it but man I was blown away by the first movie. One of my favorite trilogies of all time.

yeah, i've been watching these every summer for several years now, it's become an annual ritual for me. the first one is where it all began, but i can't decide which one of the trilogy is the best.

I feel very happy and sad when I see this trilogy. I mean in the first movie, they are around 23 and in the second they are around 32 and in the third they are in their 40's. I'm 19 and it feels little sad to see them all grown up and after some years I'll be in my 40's and thinking about my youth and all. I don't know I am like Celine afraid of growing up.😔

I remember Ethan saying in an interview he'd want to end the series with both of them old and sickly. I think that would be the perfect conclusion to their journey.

@@silkthyme I agree. Old Jesse and Celine, maybe in their 60s with grandkids. I always thought the beginning of a 4th movie should start with Jesse's son getting married, and them at the wedding.

@@orlandoalessandrini2505 That sounds nice, but the issue is, what would the movie be about? I think that's what prevents a 4th movie from happening this year. This year marks the 9th year since the 3rd film, and Linklater has already confirmed nothing is happening. It's a shame but hey if there isn't a story worth telling then it's better to leave it as it is. I sure wouldn't want a 4th movie to happen just for the sake of it.

@@lfmm97 well it's whatever the 3 of them agree it'll be. I was referring in my OP about the Ethan Hawke interview and how he wanted to do a movie of them in old age. If he and the other 2 ever discussed it, I don't know. Just putting some things out there, like the wedding scenario I thought of for a pt.4.

Beautiful, beautiful to imagine a love like this, but this never happen in real life....maybe there are one or two couples out there, the lucky ones who experience something like this before . But the truth is to really conect with someone so fast to fall for someone for one night , that never happen in real life

I love before sunrise.. movie should have ended there ( just a wish) Later part becomes so depressing.. first one remains the best I still watch first part in months because it's so refreshing
