What supplements do you already take, and what are you going to add into your regimen after watching this?! Tell me in the comments.

I wanted to add that Vitamin D really should be combined with K2 for better absorption. You can buy this combined and do not need to buy 2 separate supplements. Nice video Dr Hirsch

I take organic flax seed oil, high dose B12, magnesium/potassium, vitamin D3 and k2, zinc, vitamin C. I also take a supplement combination with tumeric, cinnamon, garlic, and berberine. Hot flashes have improved, but not completely gone. Ive only been taking these things a month. I expect they will continue to improve. Definitely helpful with joint pain! I also drink a LOT of water!

Pasiflora (tea) before bed has been a lifechanger for encouraging calmness and a good night sleep - rather than melatonin. Collagen has helped with joints and hair loss. I personally disagree with recommendations for melatonin and turmeric. Turmeric can inhibit absorption of iron for those struggling with anemia from heavy blood loss, like heavy periods. And melatonin can cause terrible nightmares. I also read it can actually disrupt circadian rhythms when taken long term.

@@MissAnonima1 They seem fine. I only had one consultation appointment with them for 30 minutes. It was with a nurse. I'm only currently using the service for the estrogen cream but they do offer HRT as well if interested.

For the ashwagandha for sleep, does the type matter (example ksm 66 etc) and when should you take it? I find it takes a while to kick in so I take it around 7pm for bed at 11 is that ideal? Or when do you recommend taking it. Sleep is my main struggle in peri!!
@marjayasmrАй бұрын
Hard to know what to believe cos I’ve read so many articles saying research says no supplement helps when it comes to peri and menopause and that women are just wasting their money. Ditch the junk food and drink more water. Everyone knows vitamin D is good in general. But it makes no extra difference in peri or meno. Magnesium also has little effects. B complex gives me the shakes. More Fibre is definitely needed. Most of my symptoms were helped with HRT gel esp for joint pain and anxiety. It also stopped my constant bleeding.

I have not found melatonin to be helpful for sleep. CBD+ works better for me to assist with sleep. Except for a B-complex, I take most of what you recommended because my doctor recommended.

I’m currently on HRT and my tests indicate a tendency toward hypothyroidism. I’ve heard iodine is often recommended as a supplement in such cases, and I’d like to know if there are any contraindications with HRT❓️
@duchessdelarue5983Ай бұрын
My vitamin D level is 70 and this is ideal. I live in a sunny climate and only take 5,000 IU D/K once a week to keep it high. Calcium is no good to take in pill form D/K and eating greens 🥬 will keep calcium high.

Just checking- did you mean to say 4 liters of water per day? 17 cups? That is quite a bit more than I’ve ever heard recommended before. Thanks!
@marjayasmrАй бұрын
No only up to 8 glasses a day. Don’t drink more than this unless you’re very active and do a lot of workouts. You can intoxicate the body drinking too much water esp in a short amount of time. Don’t forget waters from tea, coffee, foods and juice also count

I notice the recommended dosage for B12 is only 2.4-2.8 mcg but most of the bottles sold are at 1000-1200 mcg. I cannot find a bottle lower than 100 mcg for B12. Why is that?
