The BEST telescopic rod 2021 (Fish Rig 180 review)

Nice review man, love it! that 180 looks like a deadly UL setup for sure! Had a wicked first session of the season last week on the X5 Adventure model bringing in two lovely sized perch, one on the first cast on a local river and the setup handled them beautifully! Like you say Rigged and Ready Rods are top notch for sure, the quality is astounding! Anyways, keep doing what you do man, your killing it!

@@welshwarrior5263 thanks man I appreciate the support! The reel is good for the rod yes. I love it for trout and chub fishing + targeting the bigger perch. If you were going to use it for small perch fishing, roach fishing and maybe tiny stream fishing I’d reccomend picking up a size 2000 reel from elsewhere and putting it on the fish rig 180. Hope this helps!

Thanks for watching! To be honest, the Fish Rig 180 is the only telescopic rod i've really loved. if you want something a little heavier, you should consider a multi-piece like the X5 Adventure. @@NoLogic69 To be honest Mario, the X5 is still the better choice regardless of if you fly fish or not. It is much more versatile, can cast a lot lighter lures and is more sensitive for trout! I could help you with a code for those on my website, but the rigged and ready website is better if you're sure you want a world trsaveller!

Brilliant view of the R&R 180 rod. Seriously tempted to buy one for canal fishing. Think present 8 ft rod a tad to large. What line are you using? Thinking of 8 lbs mono

I'm not sure what I was using here mate but i'd recommend 12lb rigged and ready braid down to an 8lb fluoro leader. It's a great rod!

Fish rig max is a great rod. I know people who use it mostly baitcast and people who mostly spin with it and both love it. If you do go for it, don’t forget to use AFUK10 at checkout for 10% off!

How do you find using the fish rig 180 after a year mate? Was looking at getting a light weight compact rod for little day trips etc but alot of the telescopic ones tend to have bad reviews. Would you be able to potentially make another review on this?😮

It’s a lot lighter mate yeah, a completely different rod. If you do get one, make sure you use AFUK10 to get a discount 👍

What lure did you use? It’s not always a bad thing for it to be on the bottom
