Love this channel. Hope you continue. So glad you mention this about creativity. I couldn’t agree more. I’m not artistic or crafty but I’m creative in the kitchen and when I journal so I’m thankful I have these outlets.

Yes yes yes! Let's spread the word that creativity is not limited to those who like to craft, paint, etc. God bless you for affirming this!

This video felt like 5 minutes, and I was so happy and thankful to see you posted a new one! I'm the same as you with paperwork and crafts, it made me smile. Yesterday my children painted empty toilet paper rolls, they did it for one hour, by themselves. They will put ears and eyes to create a rabbit, deer, fox... Your headband turned amazing, and the idea counts! I repeat myself to say but I'm always inspired by the way you dress...so wonderfully put together and also your children, this also shows yoir creativity. I tried your hospitality and baked a buckwheat bread with pecans for a neighbor who gave us (I asked for) a pumpkin for free 🙂 and I looked at flyers of magazines his morning and found sunflower oil in a big container at fraction of price which made me happy too. We were frugal when I was a child but didn't miss anything. Later on I wished to splurge but lately I'm back to basics..also our refrigerator is usually only 1/3 full, the rest of space is for containers and pots of dishes waiting for next days to be used up. And I agree you show your children just the right amount, it was so lovely to see your son eating the sandwich (slowly, with attention, just like you) and the daughter looking at doing crafts (she is learning by looking at you). Prayers for you and sending love to you and your family ❤

This brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for being so thoughtful in your response to my video. You are such a blessing. I loved hearing your hospitality story! I bet your neighbors were soooooo happy! Thank you for your encouragement in my costume and my attire! I try to make an effort! And thank you for sharing sweet words about my children! It is a joy to be their mama, but also a lot of hard work and intentionality! God bless you for being a light to the world and sharing positivity with those near and far! Glad you're here!

I enjoy all of your content, especially frugality. I grew up in a household of abundance. I didn’t learn anything about frugal living. I’m now at a point in life where I don’t want to be wasteful and I want to be a good steward of what God has given me.

Hi Kathryn! Thank you for sharing! I love hearing what viewers want to see. Your input is valuable to me because it tells me what is helpful! I agree wholeheartedly with your comment about being a good steward! Every little bit counts!

Hi, good morning! It was so nice to see a new video posted today. Just want to share with you a couple of no-cost fun activities for children: 1) Simply fill a baking pan or plastic container (one that is a few inches deep) with slightly warm water & liquid hand soap, then swish so it creates a layer of bubbles. Next, submerge various water safe, sinkable items, like a spoon, a quarter, golf ball, hair brush, etc. Then have the kids take turns trying to find a specific item by dunking their hands into the water and feeling the different shapes. They’ll have fun, and clean their hands at the same time! 2) Make a simple play dough of Bisquick & water and have them make all sorts of little figurines, which you can then pop into the oven for fun biscuits they can eat. We used to add butter & jam to them while still warm. ;)

Thank you SO much for your frugal videos. Number one, I too have a love of Frieda as you can see by the icon I use, Also, my name is Cecilia and I rarely see people named that anymore. I am a senior on a fixed income and had two emergency bills come up that had me down. You have made my spirits rise and are so helpful in your tips. I just thought I would let you know that I feel I was blessed by finding your channel. Thank you again. ❤❤

I did not grow up in a frugal household, and I didn't pick up frugal tips and tricks until after college when I met a friend/mentor who raised a family on a lower income. She is so resourceful and taught me how to make snacks and other more expensive food items from scratch. It sounds strange, but I didn't realize people actually made their own granola, peanut butter, pudding, jerky or dried fruits until then! I am so thankful for those skills, and I still love making food from scratch because not only do I save money, but I also know exactly what ingredients I am eating. I also resonate with the creative problem-solving point you made.

I didn’t grow up frugal. More on the paycheck to paycheck family. I wasn’t frugal till I got in my early 20s when I couldn’t afford the brand new name brand clothes. I started shopping used. Then more frugal when I had my kids.

Since watching your other video the other day I've started making my own bread. I'm so proud of myself and my kids even prefer it. It's a bit of effort and requires planning because when you run out it's a 5 hour process to get more, but it's so fulfilling. I calculated that it's about $2 per loaf and the other bread at the shop is $5 now. Id love to do the muffins. They're $6 for 6 if they're not on special!

YAY! That's so awesome! I am so proud of you! I love the simple act of bread-baking and how it slows me down. Cheering you on! :)

Another great video. Nothing goes to waste in my kitchen, and I love the creative problem solving of what to do when there's something leftover not much just a "tad". One time there was just a "tad" of spaghetti sauce, lol. Next thiught was Lord, what can I do with this. Well, I froze it flat in a baggy, and it came in so handy the next time I cooked a single chicken breast (I was eating by myself that day. I heated up that bit of sauce and spread it on my chicken with some parmesean cheese. It dressed up myvmeal so nicely "for free", lol. I've done it again and again. That's my 2 cents worth today.
@inacecilia2 ай бұрын
OH WOW! I do that with most things, but I have definitely had an in-between portion of sauce that I really didn't want to throw out! Isn't it funny to go back to your freezer and see all the remnants? I love it! God bless you for sharing this! I know it has helped someone today, and not just me! :)
@rustyrussell32112 ай бұрын
Inacecilia that little kitchen hack worked so well that I purposely hold back a little sauce, goes great with scrambled eggs, goes in just about anything that needs a little extra flavor, makes a great Italian style soup base (most store bought soups do not contain a great amount of any one item, so a little leftover sauce, a little leftover carrot. Onion, celery, diced bell pepper, a few leftover beans, a couple of of whatever meat, some bullion or homemade stalk, a handful of small pasta or rice, all leftovers and suddenly you have one of the best soups for a family. It's a fun way to have really nice "free" meals, lol. Bless you and bless your channel.

Hello Ina, we didn't have dishwasher when we were newly married coz washing dishes was so manageable. Then 1 toddler later and pregnant with the 2nd,husband decided that we already need one. 😂 But til today, we don't have a microwave and dryer coz we don't find them necessary.

You say you go to work do you work in the home? Because your channel’s first video talked about living under the poverty line. I’m confused…… do you sit at the table to eat with the family because I feel that is very important ❤
@inacecilia2 ай бұрын
Hi Susan! Great questions! I do work outside of the home! I will go into that more later, so stay tuned! We lived below the poverty line 7+ years ago and I reference that because it was very formative for us and I hope it inspires others to keep going! God bless you, pretty lady! And YES, we eat every supper together every single night! I have a hard time remembering when we HAVEN'T done that because I believe in it so so much!
