I’m currently trying to find scent that makes me feel like I just walked into a cigar humidor, dryer and not as sweet as pipe tobacco. I would set up a recliner there if the shop owners had a sense of humor. 😆 I’ve had several suggestions particularly Ormande Jayne Monytabaco, also Bell’Antonio Hildegard Soliani, The Blazing Mr Sam Penhaligon and Jeke Slumberhouse. If you have time, your quick thoughts please. I have Herod, Carlisle and Man in Black (prefer over Spicebomb).

Boy I'll tell ya Max, after purchasing "Layton" from Parfums De Marly I'm all about that house. I have an Armaf flanker of Pegasus and like it so much that I can't fathom how good Pegasus might actually smell. So Herod is definitely the one I'll be picking up (along with Pegasus). I actually discovered and purchased D&G pour homme for the first time this summer and love it as well! Interesting to hear that the early formulation was even so much better. A fragrance that came to my mind here that I thought should be included was Perry Ellis Black Vanilla Oud. Then come to think of it, I guess it doesn't have a tobacco note, but some how thought it smelled like it. Regardless that one's killer! I know you've checked that one out, and like it also. I think others will strongly appreciate it if they're into these tobacco fragrances, especially at its price point.. You've got a lot of heavy hitters there on that list for sure. I like how you mention the cheaper alternatives for people on a budget. My vote is for Lavender. I just picked up Ferrari's Pure Lavender and it's my favourite from that house. ( I haven't got my nose on Bright Neroli yet though) I'd like to learn of other strong contenders with that note. You do a fantastic job sir!

My Top 10 Tobacco based Fragrances are: Slumberhouse Jeke, Amouage Tribute, Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, Ralph Lauren Polo, Odori Tabacco , Karl Lagerfeld Lagerfeld Classic, Dua Fragrances The Mobster, Yosh Sombre Negra, O`Driu Peety and Amouage Journey Man. I have pure havane and Bogart pour homme. They are equal in my book. In my world, they are killers in the cold weather in social events. Only fragrance aficionados would be able to split hairs in quality. I love them and won't be without either LMAO 😂😂

I'd love to see a top Coffee scents. Coffee seems to be a hard note to use as I see a ton of Tobacco frags out there but not so many really utilizing Coffee. Those that do use Coffee always seem to leave it lightly in the background or as a top note that dies away in the first hour. Hopefully there's some really good Coffee Fragrances out there I don't know about ☕

RED TOBACCO Mancera--it gets in the ring with these clowns and beats thems down. RED TOBACCO is THE tobacco frag. It's a delight to nearly everyone I meet. Tom Ford Tobacco Oud--awesome oud and tobacco, comes in on the top as well. Some say it is too harsh. TF Tobacco Oud Intense--switched up the regular and found a sour honey odor which doesn't delight as well as the original. Mugler Pure Havane--good cherry tobacco, but not very strong and not as nicely blended as TF and Mancera. Women love it. I also have Tobacco Vanille and Herod, but you covered them. I tried a load of samples of other tobacco scents, but they didn't impress me like these. Waiting on Al Haramain Amber Oud to see if it is a TV clone indeed. Should be interesting.

Great list Max, except for Polo Green. I put that stuff in the same category as Kouros an Anteaus , basically absolutely unwearable in public, but I don't mind spraying some for my own enjoyment when I'm at home, just to relive the great memories of the past.

I'd add Franck Boclet Tobacco and Maison Margiela Jazz Club to the list. First is a dry, spicy, slightly sweet tobacco, cloves and fragrant woods kind of scent, the other can be described as "negroni and cigars scent in a bottle".

To me kilian Black to Black is tricky kinda powdery at first. The sweet tobacco comes in the dry down sillage ... in a suit and tie of course. Oh the scent of ROSE please!

Tobacco Oud Intense.... By Tom Ford! I have tried many, and this one is my favorite. I like it because it uses Tobacco as the main stay and pulls it off with class. It reminds me of a wet pipe tobacco with enough nuance to keep it from just being pipe tobacco. Love it! The next I would say so far is Jazz Club, kinda boozy and tobacco, but really nice. I'm looking for a new tobacco now, Great video.

Max Forti I have tried tom Ford vanil and Herod . Both smell so fantastic but the truth is that none of them have any real tobacco content. I mean none of tobacco leaves (Virginia, habano, Cavendish, ...) Smell like these perfumes ...

I was disappointed by many of the tobacco fragrances mentioned here. Tobacco Vanille works for me, along with Tabac Rouge, Illuminum's Wild Tobacco, and Franck Boclet's Tobacco. Herod and Back to Black were disappointing (too sweet, too powdery, respectively). 1861? I didn't get much tobacco or cherry, nothing like Mugler's Pure Havane to me, very bland. The hay note in Chergui turned me off. Man Made isn't available in my country.
