Blackpool is a seaside resort on the Irish Sea coast of England. It's known for Blackpool Pleasure Beach, an old-school amusement park with vintage wooden roller coasters. Built in 1894, the landmark Blackpool Tower houses a circus, a glass viewing platform and the Tower Ballroom, where dancers twirl to the music of a Wurlitzer organ. Blackpool Illuminations is an annual light show along the Promenade.
We went to the city of Blackpool to test fish and chips. The weather was not very good, it was raining. Anyway, we went to fish and chips the sea. They were very kind to us and let us go into the kitchen to see how they work. It was very interesting inside the kitchen, people working very hard and all the food looked fresh, we saw how they make fish and chips. We got the fish and chips with a few different sauces and ate it. The fish was cooked very well and the batter they made for the fish was perfectly cooked, they seem like experienced people, and the sauces were great. We had fun at this fish and chips shop. After that, we went to two fish and chips shops, but they didn't let us take a video, and if we want to be honest.
The two fish and chips we went to were not as good as the first one, one fish was not cooked properly and the sauce was too spicy and strong, and the last one, the fish was small and the sauce was spicy and strong, in my opinion, we can buy a good meal for eleven pounds and fifty pence, of course Let me also say that we went to several chips and chips that did not agree to film. If I want to choose my favourite out of these three chips and chips, I will choose the first one, the sea

That oil looks like used engine oil, they're not replacing oil as often. That creates alot of health problems. But I guess, no one eating that food will be worried about bad health.

If the batter is greasy or oily then the oil wasn't hot enough, sadly many fish and chip shops make that mistake, but there are some gems out there that get it right. If you ever go to the same area travel a bit further down the coast road to Cleveleys (10-15 mins by car) and try kays chippy, they know how to make fish n chips. We were actually in the sea chippy while you were filming, we run in to get out of the rain lol. Fried fish and fried potatoes were introduced by Spanish and Portuguese immigrants as separate foods to England, the fried fish was dipped in flour then fried which made a crisp outer. We English later put fish and chips together as a meal and added batter to the fish to enhance the crispy outer and protect the fish from soaking up the oil or fat. This is why traditional fish and chips as we know it now is considered an English food. It was also protected from rationing during world wars 1&2 making it a great treat where you could fill your belly without worrying about your ration book allowances being used.

Fry at 180 0C . The oil looked like it needed a change . Nice colour to the fish but it wasn't crispy enough . Other than that seems ok 😊

@@Ghosts-of-York the 16th century happened long before the 2nd world war (educated guess seeing as you mentioned Jews) fish and chips were actually protected from rationing during ww2 which in itself suggests it wasn't a new dish to the country, that's just common sense, it would be a beloved national dish long before ww2 to have such a privilege bestowed as ration protection. Plus the point that potatoes were easy to grow and not short, we had huge fish stocks in our rivers and seas and fishing trade still went ahead plus the dish provided high fat and energy content which helped people work longer in the war effort across the country. Smart move really.

Rule 1 never eat food from places close to the promenade, Best chippys in Blackpool are Yorkshire fisheries bit pricey and Seniors, Cottage chippy newhouse rd use too be good gone down hill lately
