Gauging which turkey gauge is right for you can be daunting. Options and opinions abound. Mark Boardman and Ryan Muckenhirn put pellets to paper in this dynamic demonstration of turkey gun performance. 12 ga, 20 ga, 28 ga and .410 are put to the test to help you decide what to tote this spring.

Shot my first turkey this year hunting for the first time in Eastern Wa before I get out of the navy! 9in beard, 3/4 in spurs about 20-25 lbs Marriam. Spent 7 days camping and finally got it done on the last afternoon before I headed back to western Wa. Crazy hunt and now I’m hooked!

Apex is a game changer! My dad had open heart surgery in October and thought he wouldn’t be able to Turkey hunt because he shoots a mossberg 835 he switched this year to 20 gauge and was able to kill a turkey. Thanks to the apex load!

I’ve been debating on setting up a 28 for turkeys for the last year now considering i hunt public and walk sometimes 8,10+ miles in a day lugging around a 12 gauge and comments like these are gonna make me send it off the deep end and start building😂

@@ChaseDenton-uz1wb I made the switch and haven't looked back! CZ makes a sweet little pump 28GA that I use for birlds/rabbit. The Mossberg SA28 runs flawlessly and is a great little turkey gun.

@@chrisvankoevering3549 well they are using dense tungsten with a higher weight load that would normally be in a 28 guage so the lighter frame doesnt handle it as well as a regular laod
