I learnt so much from ur videos like these. I have always lived where uniqlo is not available so when I visited UK recently, I had a list of ur recommendations and what was missing in my wardrobe. The whole shopping was a very efficient experience.

I have the knitted jacket and actually really like it for the reason it fell short for you! Although it's only 60% cotton and 40% acrylic, it feels very much as if it's mostly cotton and is extremely comfortable to wear (this was part of my airport outfit to and from Japan from Canada). It's not itchy at all (on someone who has sensitive skin + eczema). I love how I can wear this casually or to the office. It's also held up well and doesn't look worn out after machine washing on delicate and line drying. I reach for the knitted jacket significantly more than my Sézane knits and it's just comfier and easier to wear!

Uniqlo lately has been mastering their fit but down grading their fabric😅 so a lot of the clothes look really pretty on the body for a while but doesn’t last long

I watched one of your videos a few weeks ago where you recommended the Merino wool shirts. Same day I went to Uniqlo to buy a couple of them and I have been wearing them constantly. I normally never buy knit because of some very itchy and uncomfortable knits that I've tried before that I just didn't want to take a risk anymore. I'm glad you recommended them.

I ADORE the Uniqlo graphic tees, it's such a great way of getting 100% cotton and there's always something new. :) Instead of sizing down, I size up for that oversized slouchy look (which I totally get is not your thing, but I'm so crazy about them). They're so freaking thick too!

ha! Same! With using the regular cropped tops to fit me EXACTLY on my waist 😅 ...I bought some cropped ribbed racer back vests (with bra cup inserts) - and uh! Just made such an easy to wear option, that I don't have to worry about weird excess material folding somewhere. It meets the high waisted items perfectly. I also love the fine merino v+neck quarter length or full length sleeve, always worn and washed incredibly well - perfectly warm for me without the sweats! And lovely jewel colours - always felt fabulously smart and confident in them too. Quite flattering drape and everything! Batwing - I actually love a bat wing and the feel of Uniqlo sweatshirts, but I probably have too many bat wings (although not a Uniqlo sweatshirt 😅). Thanks for showing the pleated trousers, because they don't typically do petite - in the past I never had much luck or maybe assumed the fit would be weird and didn't bother to try on. But I know sizing/fit can change. Good reminder about hemming service 🤔 Food for thought!😊

I've just ordered 4 colors of sweatshirts! They are on sale and all colors are so versatile. lol. I always love your videos and love how you maintain your style/taste and stay honest about the items even after your channel gets more popular! I never regretted buying items you recommended, and I appreciate your detailed reviews. You're absolutely the one I truly rely on when it comes to fashion and style. Sending you a lot of support and love xoxo

Hi Helen, thank you so so much for showing the new crewneck sweatshirt from Uniqlo. I had purchased them in normal sizes (XS and S) and returned them as they were so oversized. Seeing you in XXS inspired me to give them another try and I absolutely love it in this size! I got all the colours as they are so versatile for Melbourne weather! It's so hard to find a perfect sweatshirt, and I couldn't agree more with you about how this ticks most of the boxes!

Hi Helen! I love your videos and always go to your videos to keep me in check to make sure I’m never over spending/buying clothes for my wardrobe 🤭🫶🏼 I was wondering if you could make a video that discusses how you care for your clothes! I find that Uniqlo is a good option for affordable options but sometimes find that if they’re not washed correctly the longevity decreases. I was wondering if you could in general, make a video how you care for your clothes overall! In terms of washing, storage, fold, etc. thank you!!!☺️

hi, Helen😊 thank you very much for another high-quality-content video! i wonder have you tried on any Muji pieces?

I have and love the quality of their pieces. The annoying thing for me is that things disappear so quickly (at least in Sydney) so I never have time to think about anything. Have you tried anything you recommend?

I was reading the reviews of some of these items on the Uniqlo site, it seems like the quality of their clothing has really declined over the past few years, most notably in the last year. The clothes do look cheaper, and reviews say that look worse after washing. I purchased a seamless down coat a few years ago that was well made and lasted me a long time. I was looking at the updated model, it does look worse quality. It also seems you have to pay to return items online, so not worth it unless you can buy inside a store.
@phuonganhnguyen70362 ай бұрын
I second you, totally. Some Uniqlo pieces I got years ago are still in good shape, but my most recent purchases are quite disappointing. They use less natural fibers, and stocks are renewed too frequently with so many collaborations and collections. My closet was 90% from Uniqlo but now I guess I need to look elsewhere 😢
@digitalpunkdiva28943 ай бұрын
This was very helpful. I ignored Uniqlo previously because they did not seem to have my size. I will definitely look into the tshirts and sweaters since I'm always in need of replacements for the worn out ones. I'm not really a sweatshirt girl, but I share your sentiment about more cropped and fitted types for petites so I'll consider those.

Thanks Helen for trying and sharing your choices. When J W Anderson collection was released last week in uk, I got the cotton trench coat in both brown and navy to try. He materials and make are very decent and feel lux. However, it is too long on the body and sleeves. It’s disappointing that I decide to return them. Please try some styles which are in Oz when you are here. ❤

My wardrobe is 90% from uniqlo. I do not buy bottoms from them tho except of its something i would wear for work (need to be extra comfy) or if it is lounge/sleep wear. Their pants are painfully long. Im just 5ft tall. And having them tailored makes them tool a bit weird on me. So i tend to avoid them. The tops though and the basics, i have.
