Best upgrade... getting the spool off of the top of the printer.
@SlicePrintRoleplay6 ай бұрын
I did say "If you don't have room to move the spool off the printer." 😊 But also, I tested that and didn't find that it had any substantial benefit to print quality. I think it's worth it if you have the opportunity but not required.
@dankcincy6 ай бұрын
@@SlicePrintRoleplay Silly me, you're right. Removing 2lb from the highest point/least supported part of the swaying gantry will have zero affect on the machine or part. Yeah, it's a cool design/print but let's be real here.

and now switch the y axis to rails. After that stabilize the Z axis and you are getting close to bambulab printers ;)
@SlicePrintRoleplay13 күн бұрын
@@Beater06 if you're interested in a Bambu printer then personally I'd recommend spending the extra $200 - $300 to get one. You're going to spend at least that in parts and labor trying to upgrade the KE to have the same specs as a Bambu. But if you want a more budget friendly option, that still gives great results, then the KE is a good choice. That is of course my opinion based off my experience.

In 2 days i will receive my Ender-3 V3 KE And saw the sell on sensor cryality brand for vibrations.what is this sensor and if is worth it to buy it. Cost around 15 euros
@SlicePrintRoleplayАй бұрын
@@noobt4eguns I want to say upfront that I've not tested the sensor you're referring to. So any advice I provide is based off of my research and not first hand experience. The sensor you're talking about is used for Input Shaping. Basically it gives the printer feedback about vibrations and then the printer compensates to reduce Vibrations by using the data. My feelings are that it's not worth it for the KE. It feels like more of an after thought than an intended feature. It's finicky to run the calibration process and it seems like the data isn't implemented in a way that makes a huge difference. So, my opinion is that it's more hassle than it's worth. I hope that helps.

@@SlicePrintRoleplay what is the first more important upgrade?
@SlicePrintRoleplayАй бұрын
@@noobt4eguns honestly it prints well enough out of the box. However, I had roughly 1 in every 4 prints detach while printing before getting the new bed. So that I'd say is pretty important. That will improve your printer's reliability. You could also just use glue or hair spray on the stock bed and get the same effect. A close second is moving the spool off the printer or changing its orientation (like I did in the video). That will improve your details just slightly but will also just make things run smoother and quieter.

the best improvement is absolutely not that. The best improvements are 1) bevels to eliminate fluctuations on the z axis 2) rails instead of tubes on the x and y axes.

What's up with the bed plate being inconsistent with adhesion? Some times the print sticks well and sometimes it doesn't and makes a huge spaghetti mess 😪 as off rn now prints are sticking but it's concerning that comes off somewhat easily when I take off a part after it's done.

Literally 2 days into owning one of these things - my first 3D printer - and I was having to change the build plate. I've got a whole of PETG (I had some really dodgy neighbours and when they stripped the house, they left a couple of boxes out of the curbside. It was out a few days before I took a look and found that it was FULL of spools of PETG) and the PC build plate is just awful for it. The adhesion is too good. I've since brought a 2nd V3 SE. Same problem again with the build plate (I had to wait a couple of weeks for a Aliexpress delivery for a new build plate).

However, I tested this setup before making this video. So, I stand by everything I said. If you'd like to run your own tests and prove me wrong then you are welcome to. Also, it's considered poor form to advertise something on someone else's content without permission. But if you're going to do it then at least provide the file name.
