Guys, the best upgrade is not putting spool on the top of the printer, if you want i add my own lateral support an a filament guide wich only requires a 608 bearing and a m3 Sscrew of 15mm
@SlicePrintRoleplay4 күн бұрын
@@bruno_rc a lot of people missed the fact that I said, "If you don't want to move the spool off the printer." I also said in another video that moving the spool off the printer is still the best option. It seems like some people are more concerned about telling me that I'm wrong rather than actually listening to what I said. I'm happy to admit when I'm wrong. However, I tested this setup before making this video. So, I stand by everything I said. If you'd like to run your own tests and prove me wrong then you are welcome to. Also, it's considered poor form to advertise something on someone else's content without permission. But if you're going to do it then at least provide the file name. That way people can actually find the model you're referring to without having to hunt for it.
@bruno_rc3 күн бұрын
@@SlicePrintRoleplay ok, no problem, I didn't want to criticize you, I just wanted to warn people that in my opinion best option is not having the spool on the top of the printer, and I can't add my model to hold the filament on the side because it is a remix that I made for myself using a model that does not allow publishing remixes of that model, but if I you want i can add the link to download the filament guide wich i use

It's worth mentioning that in your video your file opens with the 'issues' tab open, which isn't the default. So if someone is struggling to find the islands list, click on the second symbol in the top left. Also, saving the UVtools processed file meant I could no longer open it up in Chitubox to add the supports

How "was" the smell with this? I ask because I am new and I am switching from Elegoo Abs-like to this.
@SlicePrintRoleplay23 күн бұрын
It's average or below but how bad/strong something is will be very subjective. But you shouldn't spending a lot of time in a room where you can smell the resin anyway. Breathing resin fumes can cause health issues. It's recommended to vent your printing area to remove the fumes as much as possible.

ughhh so satisfying. did you tweak the settings to a different particular distance for support to body?
@SlicePrintRoleplayАй бұрын
Yep, for the model printed in this video I used a Support Z Gap of 0.2mm for both top and bottom. I believe the stock value was 0.15mm. My basic rule with your support Z distance settings is to start with the 1X your layer height. Then try 2X. Some slicers (like Cura) will actually force you to use a multiple of the layer height. So if your layer height is 0.12 and you have a support z distance gap of 0.2, Cura will round that up to 0.24.
