I have 7 Eufy cameras including the E340 door bell camera. I really like all the features except the battery life. Mine only lasts about 20 days before needing to be replaced. I complained to Eufy and they sent me a replacement stating mine was faulty. New one lasts the same time on battery. So if you want to use this camera, have an extra battery charged up and ready to go. Last thing, in power manager, the working days, detected events and recorded events never resets to zero!

The Eufy app is one of the most solid Chinese apps for home security I've had eufy cameras for quite some time now and the app never disappoints, will be ordering this doorbell soon.

So it doesn't automatically record if motion is detected? You have to click record on the app once you're notified? If this is so then why do people reviewing not highlight such an obvious flaw?

No, any motion trigger automatically sets it to record the clip. The manual recording is only if you want to record on your own, say for a longer time or something that didnt trigger the camera.

Thanks for your review. It was very informative. I’m looking for my first video doorbell and have been doing tons of research. (My head hurts lol) I’m this close to getting the Eufy. 😅 The Reolink seems like a good choice as well. (24/7 recording) I just don’t like can’t see packages and have to have the SIM card in the doorbell, not inside the house, where it’s safe. Anywho, good review, thanks for that. 😊

Really great review since we are in the market of a new eufy camera. I like the idea of two power systems and ability to see the porch for packages. My questions are 1. Which homebase system are you using to connect your eufy devices? 2. If you use the existing doorbell wiring, does it use the existing doorbell noise?

Thank you. 1. I havent tied it into any systems yet. Me and my wife just use the app and thats been more than good enough for us. We use google home but Ive yet to test how well it syncs with that. 2. Yes, since this has a battery in it, it allows you to use your existing doorbell chime. You just need to enable it in the settings.

Are you by any chance getting the E330 lock? I'm really close to buying it but wasn't sure if it was reliable or if it was gonna be buggy and have me trapped outside my house at times. I still use stardard regular locks but I've been wanting to make the jump to digital. With the different unlock options these have now, I'm real close.. but as I said..just not sure if it'll end up as another headache instead of helping.

I have two eufy chime from my old eufy doorbell and right now they are not working. I think i’ll have to buy the chime with the usb adapter that connects with my homebase 3.

I just recently purchased the S340 version and have not set it up yet but was contemplating returning it after reading issues that were posted on Eufy's app feedback review. People are complaining about the same problem with connecting to the device from the app, losing connections, no capturing events or ongoing notifications and dead after year of use or less. Has anyone experienced this? Most complaint is the app is more buggy after each update and getting support from the vendor is either non-existent or they are not helpful at after getting someone to respond... I'm trying to convince myself to keep it and give it chance but reality has hit many customers. Anyone experience any of these recently or more? what did you do to resolve it?

I cant speak for other people, but I have several eufy cameras including their doorbell and video smart lock. I have not had any issues whatsoever with their app and it works for me every single time and does whatever I tell it to. Perhaps the issues people are having are related to their phone or internet / router? I'm not entirely sure, but no one in my house has had any issues.

It adds light to the area and floor so you can see better. It only points up and down so as someone in front of the Doorbell, It doesn't shine in your face or anything

Hey, the review was amazing but i still have doubts on what to settle with, because i want a doorbell that works well with home assistant and is battery powered. Looked at the Aqara G4 which seems solid but does not have support for home assistant.

That part I'm not entirely sure of. I currently have it shared with my wife and kids, so 4 total. I'm sure there has to be a limit, but I'd assume it's higher than most people would need.

Reolink is good but they dont have any dual camera doorbells yet. Till then, I'd say eufy is a lot better

This model and many other Eufy model cameras, in the APP DO NOT ALLOW you to review the full video recordings and time frame. You can only see and download an EVENT. If the AI software missed the event or just did not record enough pre and post video you can't get to the time stamp you might need. THIS is a BIG problem and really limits you on getting exact video recordings. This is a big ding. They fell short and I would pass on their camera model that have this limit. I am returning mine. it seems like any of their cameras that have the ability to run on battery have this restriction. All my cameras record to the Homebase Unit on prem.

Yes, it'll activate anytime someone comes within your set proximity of your front door (which includes deliveries or people taking your package)
