Eufy is better BUT don't go for to 1080p version, spend a small amount more to get the 2k version the video quality is far superior.

Yes, forget 1080p on any security cam. It is not worth it and you will find out why when you need to zoom in to see an object. Just not enough pixels. Really like my Eufy cams... doorbell and floodlight and NO fees. Be aware though that when you only have a micro SD card in the cam to store all your captures it can easily be stolen right off the wall. Eufy has updated this to newly revised version of the doorbell.

Does the 2k version allow you to save footage to an SD card contained within a chime that simply plugs in an inside socket? I don't want to have to find a place to put a Eufy Homebase

Neither of these doorbell cameras are a wise choicem I am amazed....why doesn't everyone have an Aosu doorbell. No cloud storage needed. And has separate remote inside doorbell with solid-state drive? This paying for monthly subscription fees is CRAZY. I did it too for years.

We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version kzbin.infoUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.

Just swapped from Ring to Eufy. Saving 50 a year and I can add cameras without Ring adding me per device. The video is much clearer, the unit was cheaper, and the motion detection is much more intelligent (the human detection only actually works for one and isn't set off by cars!) oh and the battery lasts longer but can be hardwired. Oh and it lights up when it sees someone approaching which is just brilliant! Ring really need to up their game IMO

I have the E340 dual camera by Eufy and it will do everything I need , I got it awhile back and it works fine I have been showing my friends as they was using ring and now moving over to eufy as there are no monthy charges.

Just put the eufy into my amazon basket , hoping the 2k with base station will drop in price soon. Can get for 99 refurbished, which has a 1 year guarantee from Amazon, and i can tell you that refurbished is basically a return with absolutely no sign of use. I always get refurbished phones and will have no problem getting the refurbished yufy. Now just what to do with my ring 2 as nobody wants the ring doorbells now cloud storage has increased from 3.49 to £5 per month. No thanks i could buy a yufy like this one every year for the same as a subscription but i am going for the much updated 2k yufy. Shame how ring has priced themselves out of the market and is not as good as the yufy, Also, if you don't like the yufy for whatever reason, there are a few others very well reviewed devices that do the same. Additionally with software updates the motion detection on the yufy is much improved.

I'm not sure this is a fair review. I worked as an amazon delivery driver and the ring bell always has a delay when speaking with the home owner. Sometimes a long delay. This obviously was cut in the video

The Ring Doorbell is good, but I now feel I'm being ripped off by Amazon, especially as their Ring subscription price has increased by 40% this year to pay for new features we don't need or want at that price. The rich keep getting richer, even during a Cost of Living Crisis. 😢

Joining the club, when I started with Ring, Eufy was new, I saw JerryRigEverything unbox it and I didn't want a SD card battery one, but now they do solar, battery and wired, so moving over now. They have the home base to store all the videos too which is so much easier. I have a 1TB but want to increase it eventually.

Eufy is excellent have all the cameras and the doorbell. No charge for storage with the homebase being the cloud and you can get the eufy without sd card so that also stores on the homebase too. They cost enough without extra subscription costs.

I wish they also compared the latency of the connection and the overall usability of the Ring and Eufy apps. My non-Ring doorbell is a pain trying to scan through history and I wish I knew this before i bought it.

Yes you can view video footage anyway in the world and you also have a cloud option too. Most come with a homebase rather than just a chime. The homebase acts as a harddrive for videos, chime and central console.

The big issue with Ring is the subscription. Battery power on Ring is awful. These are the important aspects which are not covered.

I think it’s clear to say that the Eufy will have poorer battery life common sense as the ring is predominately battery. They didn’t go into pre alert recordings that ring does. The SD card in the doorbell for Eufy is no good and if they nick the chime too assuming you have it bye bye video footage. Ring is straight to the cloud so unlike your typical NVR onsite or in this case chime that can be nicked your footage is gone???

Not forgetting if your door bell is nicked it’s unusable to someone else, not sure about Eufy with it using local storage. Also as part of the subscription the doorbell is replaced free of charge if nicked.

From next month the basic subscription goes up to £49.99 a month. That is double what it was two years ago. This is a good indication of direction of Ring. Think hard before you buy one!

They are both rubbish. I have an AOSU doorbell ultra, which is battery operated and has 2k sensor. Plus more adjustability including both cloud and free local storage.

@@dennisdoyle9189 Hi, I'm not too sure about that. If you use a homebase I expect you would connect it to your router via a LAN cable. This should give you the speed the same as what you get to your router from your provide, but then the homebase uses. WiFi to reach you doorbell. Your WiFi signal from the chime depends on how far the chime is from the router and the construction of the building you live in. Modern houses have less solid walls. If you still have the aosu app and still have the device connected you can check your WiFi signal by going to settings, about device. This will show you your strength from doorbell or where you are placing a chime. Hope this helps.
