I love the simplicity of the dial. Crisp clear and easy to read. A really good looking watch and another great review.

Great review, jason. Mine has also been wonderful, and weirdly, I haven't had any issues with the screws backing out on any of my SM watches. it should also be noted these have been slightly updated with a more rounded crystal and 19mm lug width.

Strange, wonder if it's down to the wearer because its not just SM with me

@@JasonTheWatchGuy so weird. Out of all my watches, it's only happened with one, I screwed it back in and it's still good to this day 🤷

Was wearing this watch when I saw the video. I looked down at my bracelet and found a screw coming out! Thanks for the heads up

I have this blue one, its black dialed sibling and the newer snowflake-gilt-hands one. Very nice they are too!

On my Dads San Martin Water Ghost, it just fell right off his wrist. Thankfully he was reaching for something in the back of his truck and it didn’t go far and crack all up, but we had to take it to a jeweler and they had to just take out a link and use the micro adjust to get the right fit, but that little screw is gone forever. Otherwise we all absolutely love our San Martin’s.

Great review Jason, thank you. I may be the only watch guy in the world who actually like simple pins over screw type links. I have never had an issue with simple push pins in the links. This aside, I love this watch, but so wish SM would use a Miyota 9k series movement instead of the PT5000 and way much more expensive SW200. I don't know, but I just can't get around buying the PT5000, and although like the SW200 it get ridiculously expensive for this watch. The 9k series Miyota would have been perfect .... reliable and more economical than the current choices. BTW, I do love the Tiffany dial. Thank you again my friend 👏🙏👍🙌

I guess there are two of us. I much prefer pins to screws.

agree: Miyota 9000 series is the better choice

This newer 36mm version with the domed crystal and applied indices looks just as good as my 39mm version I've just reviewed. I didn't have any issues with the screw links on mine though. In fact I've not really had that issue with any watches that have them yet. I tend to screw mine in pretty tight though, to make sure I don't have that issue. I completely agree with you about PT5000's as well. In my experience they are just as good as the SW200. Funnily enough one of the differences with between this and the 39mm version is that that has the Seagull ST2103, which is another clone of the ETA 2824.

I've been thinking, maybe the screw thing is down to the user because I have it with a decent few, always the good watches too never the Pagani area

@@JasonTheWatchGuy So Pagani Design watches are the best then? 😆

Hi Jason AD applied Loctite even for my Grand Seiko after sizing it so dont see it as con to the watch. My Ball watch doesnt have it and I had to tighten few screws several times with my trusty Bergeon that I also use to tighten screws for my glasses from time to time. Black one with SW200 looks like something you can recommend to your friend who is not commited to spending very much. I also like comment that says you can ask them for 4 hole clasp to be delivered with the upgraded release.

Great looking watch! San Martin is really starting to make like Rolex homages. Just a fabulous watch. Keep bringing them great watches! Great review and content, Jason! Cheers!

How quick those San Martin’s have become quite expensive. Nice review!

Jason, Jason, Jason……that colour again (& I’m glad you apologised…lol). I know you have penchant for blue…..but it’s the wrong colour blue mate & I’m sure you want to see the lads running around Goodison in that shade 😂 Really nice crisp dial. I reckon the black dial on a sharp leather strap would look pukka

Gives me "ding dong" vibes, for me the EX1 is the best designed watch, not to say it's the best looking watch, but personally it's perfect in my eyes....my only original concern for this was the lack of micro adjustment, fortunately I've never struggled to get a good fit on a bracelet before and set all clasps on either the first or second hole....I don't honestly foresee any problems with the movement, other than one person having a DOA (happens to swiss watches too) I've never heard any complaints....like yourself a ghost position doesn't bother me in the slightest....I look forward to testing out the longevity of the PT5000 and I honestly suspect I'll get years out of it....fantastic review as always brother....loving how things are progressing....🏴⌚🏴⌚

Love the explorer style, and 36mm isn’t a problem given the lug to lug size, for the first half of the video I thought the hands were black and was going to whinge about it…😊 my only complaint is the lack of micro adjust. It’s a beautiful watch, shame I am such a tight bstard
