One mistake with Dr Shoemaker makes is that he continues to assume that Muhammad lived in Mecca and Medina, whereas modern research scholarship points to the Arabia Petrea. “If we remove Muhammad and the Qur’an completely from the Hijaz, from Mecca and Yathrib, it is admittedly difficult to understand why these locations eventually came to have so much significance in the later Islamic tradition. According to Wansbrough, Muhammad’s followers chose this region to be their land of origins only after their faith had emerged within the sectarian milieu of Mesopotamia. The Hijaz afforded them with what amounted to a blank slate, onto which they could inscribe a memory of the origins of their community unimpeded by any preexisting traditions. The relative cultural isolation of th e Hijaz further allowed them to insist that their religious faith had not been formed primarily in the crucible of late ancient Judaism and Christianity but came instead directly from on high”

As far as i understood the historical processes, the fifth Umayyad caliph Abd al Malik ibn Marwan was the actual and real founder of the so-called religion, which we call Islam. Thus, by him or by his followers of later phases of the 8th century, the Islamic stadard work Quran could have been written incorporating earlier Jewish and Christian scriptures and apocrypha of doubtful authenticity. Now, for me, this with all its concomitants allows the only conclusion that the name of the Arab so-called prophet "Muhammad" was an invention of these generations around and after Abd al-Malik, from whom the separation of the Unitarian faith from the Trinitarian faith took place. Basically, Abd al-Malik must have meant by the term "Muhammad" none other than Jesus Christ, to whom the divine title of "The Praised One" was due and to whom alone it was attributed. So I think that a person "Muhammad" never really existed, but was merely instrumentalized about a century later to give the "new" faith a reference person. Well, this is only my hypothesis, my statement free of contradictions, but initially unproven, assumption of legalities or facts as an aid to scientific knowledge. If all these hypotheses of experts like Dr. Jay and Al Fadi should turn out to be provable facts (which they basically already are), then this should mean the end for every Islamic ideology and forced faith.

It seems that you are only taking into account Muslim sources for the alleged creation of Muhammad. However, your theory of a purely fictional Muhammad may not hold up when Christian sources such as the _Armenian Chronicles_ of Sebeos (and others from the mid-7th Century) mention the "Arabs of Muhammad", or even describe who this Muhammad was: a preacher, a trader, a military leader, and so on. The title, 'Mohammad', did not begin with Abd Al-Malik, but it does appear that the literary character of Muhammad was at least partially based on an historical person; just as the Jesus of the gospels is to some extent based on at least one historical Jesus.
@Indah-tjs Жыл бұрын
@@gavinjames1145 Thank you for your comment. You are right... the term "Muhammad" is certainly based on a religious figure, but NOT on a historical figure, because an Arab "prophet" named Muhammad is NOWHERE mentioned historically. This alone we should all be concerned when you consider that the mention of any minor king or ruler of that time of the 7th century is based on historical grounds - but NO far more important person and conqueror appears with that name "Muhammad". - WHY not, I wonder?? Remember, "Muhammad" is not a name, the term is derived from the Syriac Aramaic term from early Christianity "The Praised One", a title that as stated is ONLY due to God alone. Beginning with Mu'awiyya I, who was a Christian and bore the Christian sign even in the inscriptions and coins, and later forced by Abd al-Malik, the separation between the belief in ONE God and the Trinitarian belief was advanced - and a "new religion" Islam was born. The term "Arabs of Muhammad" therefore cannot refer to a specific historically absolutely unknown person from Arabic environment; in the 7th century Christianity dominated everywhere - and thus this is a meaning on "Arabs of the Praised One" a clear reference to Jesus. Incidentally, numerous passages of the Quran refer to centuries older beautiful Aramaic-Christian prayers and chorales, which, however, were cruelly distorted and sexualized by the Arabs of the 8th century (or even later). They simply put their personal excessive desires and lusts into a new "religious" book and legalized the most horrible atrocities as "Revealed Commandments of Allah".

@@Indah-tjs You explain your point of view very well, and I agree that the Arabs of Muhammad were probably Christian (albeit not Orthodox). Of course the standard Islamic narrative simply ignores the fact that there were already many Christian Arab societies already established in what is now Syria and Iraq long before they claim Islam arose.

@@gavinjames1145 Now please read “Sebeos’ History of Armenia” chapter 30 carefully. “ The elimination of the Sasanian dynasty which held sway for 542 years. The birth of Muhammad and the entrance of the sons of Ishmael into the land of Armenia. The death of Heraclius and the reign of Constantine...“ It reads: “I shall discuss the [line of the] son of Abraham: not the one [born] of a free [woman], but the one born of a serving maid, about whom the quotation from Scripture was fully and truthfully fulfilled, "His hands will be at everyone, and everyone will have their hands at him [Genesis 16. 11,12]. Although the Arabs were convinced of their close relationship (to Abraham), they were unable to get a consensus from their multitude, for they were divided from each other by religion. In that period a certain one of them, a man of the sons of Ishmael named Muhammad, a merchant, became prominent. A sermon about the Way of Truth, supposedly at God's command, was revealed to them, and he [Muhammad] taught them to recognize the God of Abraham, especially since he was informed and knowledgeable about Mosaic history.” Now… ● Was the Arab Muhammad a descendant of Abraham and Ishmael? - *NO.* This is an unproven claim, since the line of Ishmales' descendants ended with Adnan and more than 15 generations have not been mentioned. Abraham worshipped his God YAHWEH, not some moon deity “Al-lah”. Already centuries before this Arabian caravan robber and mass murderer "Muhammad", JESUS taught people to recognize the God of Abraham, especially since he was of course informed about and knew the Mosaic history. It was Jesus who said "Before Abraham was - I AM" - and NOT an arabic "Muhammad". ● Has this Arab figure Muhammad ever stayed in a city Edessa? - *NO.* The city of Edessa in upper Mesopotamia, the birthplace of the Peshitta and home to the form of Aramaic now called Syriac. is located almost 4000 kilometers (or 2500 Miles) from Mecca! - So it must have been another preacher or trader etc. - OR the Arab "Muhammad" must have used his "Buraq" once more to fly with this mule in light speed to this Greece city of that time... ● And yes, “the Praised One”, i.e. Jesus, was a preacher, and had sermons about the Way of Truth, at God's command. And by the way, if in the 7th century a Christian bishop Sebeos, described contemporary events from a great distance, this does not necessarily mean that - as we could see - all his information was accurate, since he could also rely only on hearsay. The historical Jesus is to be regarded by numerous different proofs as an actual historical figure - an Arab "Muhammad" however is NOT! So, no one can seriously claim that the Muhammad mentioned in Sebeos' History of Armenia was that Arab "prophet." The rest of the explanations you can read in Sebeos' texts, which are freely available as a pdf file.
@gavinjames1145 Жыл бұрын
@@Indah-tjs Wonderful! Thank you! Firstly, I do not consider Sebeos' 'Muhammad'to be the [Muhammad] of the Qur'an or hadith literature. Sebeos does indeed describe a preacher and not a prophet (i.e. [Muhammad]). The earliest caliphs, along with their followers, appear to have been Christian too. Sebeos claims to gain his information from escaped prisoners or slaves, who had been captured by the "arabs of Muhammad".

@@defenderoftruth3212 but seriously, we are short on scholars who keep the faith and venture out of their comfort zone. You wouldn't believe the suspicion I encounter as a Christian woman who is simply interested in others, other places, other cultures, other traditions...even shopping at a halal market gets their dander up😂. But it makes me well equipped to make friends, cook well, and understand people. I won't ever stop listening and speaking respectfully with others about God. Usually they bring it up when they see what I'm up to in life. The part that surprises everybody is that I believe as a born again Christian. I have worked as a caregiver for people of many backgrounds and religions, a housekeeper, cashier, cook, waitress, and tutor. I play a mean game of chess, and try to always be prepared to answer someone intelligently...but I think we are not common in the world or in religious circles, defender. As a caregiver, part of my job and duty was to get my patient/client well enough to connect with activities and friends to remind them of their life and loves. Actually, that was what my goal and focus was. My actual job was to clean them, feed them, put pills in their cup and change the sheets. But I always got them feeling so well they had me take them to worship. That meant sometimes I attended protestant service, mass, synagogue, or a meeting with buddies over tea. God was always the first place my clients chose to be taken once they could leave the house. Also Walmart, vintage record stores, and the beach. But it is handy to know a thing or two before you go telling folks they are wrong. Better to demonstrate the way and go where others will not.

Allah bans intellectualism (the concept of gaining knowledge) from Islam. Quran 5:101 reads, “O you who believe (Muslims)! Ask not about things which, if made plain (simple, clear) to you may cause you trouble (grief).” In the next verse, Allah explained why no Muslims must seek “Intellectualisms” such as knowledge, creativities, free flows of ideas and thoughts: Quran 5:102 reads, “Some people (Muslims) before you did ask such questions, and on that account, lost their faith.” * But what happens to a Muslim who seeks “knowledge” and loses his faith? Muhammed says, “Kill him.” - Sahih Sunan an-Nasa’I 4059: Messenger of Allah said, “Whoever changes his religion, kill him.” Does Allah agree with Muhammed - to kill a Muslim who loses his faith? Absolutely yes! In Quran 4:89, Allah says, “…If they turn back (away from Islam), take (hold of) them and kill them wherever you find them…”

So this Islamic god (Allah) forbids them to gain knowledge and understanding - so they remain ignorant, uneducated and blind. No wonder the Islamic world is backward in their thinking, and remains in the chaos and mess most of their countries are in. This fake god doesn't want them to have knowledge and understanding because it doesn't have TRUE KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING itself. Just take a look through it's book called the Qur'an and see how it didn't have the knowledge and understanding to make it's message coherent and clear, instead of incoherent, disorganised and chaotic. The real reason their god and it's book teaches to kill Anyone of them who gains knowledge and intellectualism is because this god (Allah) is the Biggest Deceiver of All Time (Sura 3:54 and Sura 8:30 Arabic Qur'an) and doesn't want them to know The Truth. Because knowing The Truth means this Deceptive Cult will disintegrate and disolve into oblivion - as we witness is already happening around the world.

The problem is that you cannot possibly claim to understand the Christian message from a detached and an unconcerned person’s perspective. Realising or understanding the truth behind Christianity brings you to the place of belief and acceptance. Anything other than that suggests that you never understood it to begin with.

for my muslim friends, do you even really read and understands the whole books you have now ? Why do even you critics back Bible that you don't even read all of it or even believe ? Don't you in your heart really wanted the truth of Islam without getting biased ? Don't you really wanted your salvation ? Don't you wanted to know if you are really promised of heaven ? Do you really checked that for yourself in the Quran beside whoever taught you so ? Be more critical to yourself, learns more, learns all ! If you don't understand you can ask tho, but first of all you should read yourself. Do you really wanted to have blind faith for things that comforts you without knowing if it's true or not ? Because Bible and Quran is definitely different, like major difference each another. Rasul in Bible and Quran has different meanings, Rasul in Quran is Messenger of Allah, but in Bible, Rasul is Messenger of Jesus, Prophets that's from God. If you think Holy Scriptures came from God to be given to prophets, its totally different to Bible, Bible is collections of books from laws, prophecies, witnesses, commentaries, poems, teachings that historical proofed because its humans writings that Inspired by God, claimed from the people, owner of Bible. Injil isn't books from Jesus, It's testimonies of witnessed Jesus, that's why it has 4 perspectives, its different from what you thought based from you have been taught in Islam which brought by Jesus. If you feel that this attacked your faith, learns more about you have, so you will know the truth, try to defends it or even you got shocked by truth, but keep searching for the truth, because having blind faith doesn't helps you to have salvation. Please consider what I have said, because the only difference between you than other creations is that you have mind, so you could search the truth for God. Hope you find your peace with God.
