To get better performance make sure you use the patches folder. You can disable Motion blur, bloom, DOF and other things.

Thank you so much for this video. I followed your video step by step and games only load with a black screen. In a previous video "Steam Deck: Standalone (Without EmuDeck) Xbox360 Xenia Emulator Setup - Gear of War 2 Fix" you made a change to Target link in the compatibility part of the game. In this video you didn't do that step. Is that still needed? Time stamp in first video is 9:34. In this video it is 7:22. Thanks in advance for your help!

Sorry for late reply. You don’t need to do that if you use EmuDeck Xenia. But if you are not using emudeck then you have to do the compatibility part.

@@ED4T nothing to apologize for! I’m trying stand-alone Xenia. Rumble Roses locks up after the game starts and reboots my deck. Captain America super soldier only shows a pink screen. Same results using Xenia with emudeck. I did the compatibility stuff but using your most recent video where it seems like you were able to streamline the process.

Why do you duplicate the folders for the different games. What is the advantage?

You can apply different gpu settings in this case for different games. Some game will run with vulkan and some will run with d3d12. Emudeck will only sign every game to vulkan but this emulator doesn’t work that way.

Go to emudeck from desktop then manage emulators and click Xenia then unisntall it

Thanks for the video but I think its hit or miss for some people. Miss for me. I've tried the emudeck Xenia route and didn't work. I Uninstalled Xenia from Emudeck and tried this manual route. Same ending. The game would load with the Microsoft and Epic intro. You can select solo op and start new game and all it will do is load a blank screen with your Ammo counter in the top right. If you fire, you would just see the sparks and hear sound but nothing else. Also copied the fix files and that didn't work either. I also tried switching Vulkan to D3D12 and got something to show up that time but it crashed. Taking a break now as I can't get GOW 2 or GOW 3 to work. Gears 1 is perfect through emudeck.

If the game uses multiple game discs (ISO), is it possible to swap discs? For example, "Blue Dragon" is a 3-disc game. Please let me know if there is a way.

Love your video! It helped me get Last Remnant up and running. Yes it has a few bugs here and there but I can ignore those personally. My questions is I set up infinite undiscovery the way you instructed and it runs and is working however the display or screen is super dark. How would I change the settings do the screen is brighter?

I’ve tested NFS MW 2005 as well and have the same issue on both Steam Deck and my Windows 11 PC. Unfortunately I’m not sure if there is really a “fix” for this, and that we may have to just wait for Xenia to get further updates to fix issues

It will crash for few times, I got into the game after the 2nd crashes. after that no crash any more make sure you make a save.

It will crash at first launch after you start up the game second time no more crashes any more. Make sure set gpu=d3d12 for this game
