For an average size pool I just use hose water, 2 jugs of chlorine, about 6lbs of stabilizer and a bottle of muriatic acid. Then test after a few days. No problems.

You just wait for the rainy season and voila, the water will be the one to come to your house. *Bonus, if you're lucky(nahh🥴), and happen to live in a nearby fish pond (just like me), you'll also be able to catch a fish that comes together with the flood. 😉
