Speaking of EMOMs.. did a 30 minute one yesterday, odd minutes row 15 cals, even minutes 15 burpees. Was a mental battle for sure about halfway in. Especially knowing you can finish it and just having to be like “welp, I’m not gonna quit, so suck it up”

great input about the EMOM are you suggesting to put some rests in those 20-30 EMOMs or just hold the calories for the whole time? Like: 15cal Row, 12 cal AB, Rest

EMOM stands for every minute on the minute correct? The session at 6:45 is that done like 18cal row/15 cal ski, rest 20 min and do it again? Full disclosure Idk how much time it take to do 18 cal row or 15 cal ski.
@TeamRICHEY
@TeamRICHEY 6 жыл бұрын
Yes EMOM is every minute on the minute and I did // Minute 1) 18 cal Row - minute 2) 15 cal ski and then repeat for 20 mins (10 rounds)
@casualarrogance
@casualarrogance 6 жыл бұрын
Teo Kachakov you do: first min 18 cal row, you rest until the start of second minute if you finish early. Second minute, 15 cal ski. Then go back and forth (row/ski) until you do 10+10 mins.

Doing a EMOM what would your goal be for cals each min??? Question from a member of the Tim
@TeamRICHEY
@TeamRICHEY 6 жыл бұрын
It depends on your ability, should take you between 40-50 seconds to complete - over time you should have the capacity and be able to push a little harder to up the number but still maintain - It takes a bit of figuring out

Are you really saying people should do as many calories per minute as they can consistently hold for 20-40 minutes? Because that would be what most people call lactate threshold training. And doing that kind of workouts 3-4 times a week would improve your conditioning initially and then either plateau or get injured. And being the opposite of periodized training because if the base training is too fast, you wont be able to keep up the intensity in the workouts that should be done at a high intensity - everything is done at a similiar pace. Aerobic base building need to be really slow (being able to hold a normal conversation during the exercise is the most used pace reference) to avoid injuries and be able to keep a high enough pace on other workouts to keep improving where it matters. During the aerobic base building you want to increase time per workout and/or frequency not pace (calories/minute in this example).

Crossfit cardio? 😂 Yeah we've seen that haven't we? Like that time the so called "fittest" people in the world couldn't even get through a 7 km trail run without walking at the ranch. Or when they couldn't get through an 8 km run in Dubai. Yeah that's crossfit cardio for you. 😂
