What are your thoughts on legal California cannabis companies? It’s a multi billion dollar industry that was more or less destroyed due to poor implementation of laws and regulations. Never hear her say that you will need a shit load of operating capital to start buying businesses., even if you can take over an operating business. When a business transfers ownership the original owner takes his money and walks. Don't think so? Well, without it, you are screwed, because without it, you cannot pay employees, buy inventory, buy computers office supplies, buy operating materials, pay fixed utility costs rents, power, water, phone, insurance and the list goes on.

Many local businesses generate what is thought of as month-month operating capital. Meaning, in a given month they generate more than enough cash flow to cover all expenses. Especially cash businesses such as laundromats and car washes. It's inventory heavy companies such as retail where there is a big lag between capital outlays and new revenue. If you watch more of her stuff she recommends staying away from those types of businesses because of the low margins and cash issues.

Question about the owners who would be willing to sell under the right terms: if the goal is to take back ownership from mega entities and those who want the world to be their renters, once you sell your business, how are you not also giving up your ownership and power? This is the model the mega corps have used and of course it’s very successful for them, but decentralization is the key to keeping power with the people - which to me would mean not selling, but holding. I realize you can take that money and start another business, but the food corps literally run the retail world (such as supermarkets) and monopolize the space on their shelves. It becomes an increasingly harder market to cut into. Thank you for any feedback.
