Was born with a cleft palate so it makes me sound more nasally than most. Not much that can be done about it unfortunately. Glad you enjoyed the video, and found it helpful though! Appreciate the support! ❤️

I personally disagree with the part at 7:20 about chipping it to the side. You stated that redirecting the ball to the side wall would be easier. This is entirely dependent on what mechanics an individual trains and for most people it would be easier to simply hit a ball in the air and go for a single aerial touch (or an air dribble in an ideal world) especially when you can see your first man opponent very clearly over committed. If he chipped it to the side, second man opponent would've contested it before he made it to the wall. He also would've been bumped or demo'd had he tried controlling it to the side wall by first man opponent. The real solution for whoever is playing in this clip, would've been to spin less and perform direct hits only air rolling as needed to micro-adjust. Spinning gave the second man opponent time to not only get up to contest the ball, but also time to read what OP in the clip is doing. By spinning, it also made the touches on the ball less impactful which can be good for gaining control, but in this situation OP needs to get the ball passed second man opponent by hitting the ball harder with more direct impacts utilizing less spinning/air rolling. Great advice throughout the rest of the video though!

Yeah, I debated that part for a bit. I think there is validity to both ideas, as, like you said, it is reliant on what mechs you are comfortable with. I do agree that if you are popping the ball up there, the focus then needs to be to get in the air to get the follow up touch as quickly as possible, and you make a very good point about the air rolling. Something that I definitely do a little too often that I didn't really touch on. In that situation, I definitely could have gotten into the air faster, and probably have gotten the ball over the last defender if I didn't air roll. Thank you for the detailed feedback! I really appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed the video! ❤️

Short answer, watch more replays, improve reaction time, review, practice, repeat.

Yeah, that's a pretty good summary. Studying your own replays will probably always be the best way to figure out all of the wrong decisions you make

For sure. Ego is one of the biggest detriments to being able to improve. The second you think you are above making mistakes, you end up turning a blind eye to just how bad you can be lol

Glad you enjoyed it! I definitely can! Also gives me an excuse to continue to critique my own decision making. Which, based on what was seen here, I desperately need lol
