Hi Ify, I'm one of those who put eggs in their egusi😂. So what I do is I season the ground egusi seeds with crayfish, some salt and then add 1 egg white to the egusi and mix till it's lumpy. The way my mum explained it when she was teaching me is that it helps to make the egusi more lumpy as the egg is a binding agent. I set aside and pour in the egusi paste into the cooking pepper mix and finish up the rest of the cooking. And no, the egusi doesn't have any taste of eggs. Hope you'll try it too sometime 😁
@OriyomiHaleemah-fd3wu Жыл бұрын
Haven't done this though,but it can't have any taste of egg since there is no addition of the yellow part of the egg.
@oyindafalode81034 ай бұрын
@@OriyomiHaleemah-fd3wu you can add the yolk. It won't give eggy taste. It's just like whisking eggs in to moinmoin batter.
@omaryland5039 Жыл бұрын
The egg can be added to the egusi with the onions before you make it like a paste. That's how my grandmother cooked it then in the 80's and it taste good with dry waterleafs and i use it to eat rice omg!!!! I always have good dreams.... This looks yummy and the GALLOPS 😂😂😂😂 GOD BLESS your camera man may they live together in good health and WEALTH and may the good LORD BLESS there home with GOODNESS OF THE LORD IJN...AMEN

Thanks a lot Ma, Well.. i cook almost like you do, only difference is i don't mix the egusi with blended onions, but I don't put craydish in my Egusi at all, especially so much crayfish and yours was even out towards the end, meaning the fresh crayfish flavour will still be there, try it without crayfish you'll love the taste more..❤
@deblessedone3998 Жыл бұрын
It appears you don't love crayfish. But that doesn't mean it's the best way to cook Egusi. I mean what is a proper Egusi soup without crayfish???

Yes .. my step mom taught me to make it with egg .. just one egg.. it's so good and you see attest to so the egusi balls. Just mix the dry blended egusi with seasoning crayfish onions blended and an egg and portion on low heat .. and your meat stock and the proteins and there you have it. Add yellow oziza seed blended,leaf and ogori and dawadawa . Premium egusi lumping soup
