Viper is one of those cards that feel strong when I have to play against them and pretty clunky when I use them :-D

Honestly. It never gets me worried in either direction. I think its a pretty meh card that is capable of running away with the game if not immediately handled...just like 100 other current cards in standard.

That’s the deck selection game rigging at work in Arena. Most decks feel like this. When you play a deck, your opponents will be selected from decks that defeat it if your win/loss ratio is too good, so you will often see the weaknesses inherent in it, but when you play versus the deck, unless you are playing a deck that targets that type of deck and being selected to give your opponent an autoloss, it will seem powerful.

i have been playing selesnya counters since bloomburrow and i cannot wait for the foundations upgrades to that archtype...botanical brawler and innkeepers talent are forever on my list so these new cards look very promisng for some cats or soldier decks maybe with some counter play....rakdos has slowly crept into my favorites because of you so thank you for another great vid and brew....

Your previous version of this deck has been my favorite of the Duskmourn season! It also made me play Bo3 for the first time. However, I never had soooo many 1 and 0 land hands until I subbed one Viper for a land. Being at 20/60 did something to prevent zero land hands and greatly diminished the 1 landers

i've been having success still with viper and scav talent but I definitely see the line of the meta re:removal. forge plus scav usually gives us enough to bring that snake back. maybe i'll see if I can work in fomo just for fun at least.

Great vid! Have to vent for a second, just finished an hour and a half long game against mono board wipe in standard. He ran 16 board wipes (that i saw, there might have been more). This guy had 0 creatures in his deck, and i lost by running out of cards in my deck

I love your decks. Last season's Rakdos sacrifice you made got me to finally hit mythic so thank you for that. With Foundations I've been trying out some different stuff with this updated decklist you've made. Would love to see what you've added for Foundations as well. What I ended up doing was going down to 3x Fear of Lost Teeth, 3x FOMO, and 2x Hopeless Nightmare in order to add in 3 Demonic Pacts, but I've also been experimenting with only using 2 pacts to be able to add in a single Liliana Dreadhorde General. Demonic Pact is so easy to sacrifice before it gets to the last mode and the value by then is usually excellent, and I felt Liliana clearly works so well in the deck even if I don't really need her to win. Also, replacing Pyroclasm with Slagstorm in the sideboard seemed an obvious switch to make as well. What do you think? Am I playing with fire using Demonic Pact or do you think the risk is worth it?

I've been playing this deck all day long, super fun to play but I've not been able to do multiple combat turns with fomo+forge, I'm even considering removing fomo as It always get destroyed

Depends! If i try hard i can reach it in 2 days usually, which is what i did last season! On average 5 days if im just regularly playing :]

is this deck actually legit for climbing or is it just a fun meme? I'm ftp so I can only craft like 1 deck every 2 seasons. I fell for one of Swayze's clickbait titles and built a sacrifice deck last time I played and it was fun, but very much not competitive despite trying my best to iterate and optimize it. This deck looks really fun, and I have a few of the black cards for it already. Anyone got any second opinions on this before I blow my wildcards?
