Things I think. 1. Something I’m hoping fnaf secret of the mimic can do is officially and non controversially confirm whether or not the tales from the pizzaplex books are canon to the games. 2. Something I think would be interesting is if into the pit gets a dlc, perhaps a sequel with an older version of Oswald trying to look into the history of Freddy Fazbear’s. 3. I honestly think it’s possible Scott and steel wool could possibly reboot security breach and make it more into what they originally wanted it to be and I would be totally fine with that. 4. Scott mentioning a fnaf world 2 makes me hope that if he does that maybe it can help solve unresolved mysteries left in the franchise. 5. If the interactive novels are canon to the games I think they will help answer and unanswered questions and fill any gaps within the games.

About the points that you and DMuted mentioned, I'm very mixed on Prototype Freddy's origin, because on the one hand, him just being Freddy after the events of the Redemption Ending make a lot of sense with his headlessness and the location we find him in, and it really seems like that may have been the intention, but I also can't ignore the fact that they specifically made some changes like the "PROTOTYPE" on his foot, and the green prize box in his hatch compartment. I remember the most popular explanation back in the day is that it's just a redesign, just like they changed Roxanne Wolf's endoskeleton, but my problem with that option is: 1. Scott said in the interview that he's being more careful with the next games after what happened with SB, so I don't see why he would let them put such a important change on Freddy's model without a good reason. 2. The footprint was hidden in the trailer, probably because it was an important detail to see in the game. 3. If they gave a canonical explanation for Roxy's new endoskeleton in Help Wanted 2, why wouldn't they do the same with Prototype Freddy? Well, it's because of these questions that I believe there must be a reason for Prototype Freddy's changes, and why perhaps VIP is the answer we were looking for. Here's an existential question: if we can't really trust Security Breach as canon, how many games are *actually* in continuity now? FNAF 1-Sister Location are indie games, FNAF World is a giant metaphor (and possibly also an indie game), Help Wanted 1 is a game inside of the continuity, Security Breach's story is being actively retconned by everything that's coming out, and Into the Pit could either be in continuity or maybe it's an indie game in-universe. Rye was joking about it, but the games might as well be non-canon at this point

My only main issue with the idea of using Springlock Suits in either Springtrap's ability or mori is the logistics of that. Like, is he just lugging around several whole person-sized suit with him the whole time? I guess the Entity could just 'summon' a suit for him when he needs it, but then also I feel like him putting a suit on someone would, y'know, take too long? Though I also guess the Entity could just dew it for him with a little puff of smoke or something like that, so maybe its not as much of an issue as I figure it could be. :P

I really like that talking theory of the puppet being a mimic version, it makes sense with it having a specific job like being security, that makes me think it needs some kind of ability to understand what is a security threat because not everything would be cut and dry that an unthinking robot would be able to decipher. But if it can learn human behaviors then it also makes sense why the puppet sympathized with the deceased Charlie in the alley, an unthinking robot wouldn't be sad and it wouldn't lay down with the child

I would genuinely be disappointed if the puppet turns out to be the mimic. While I enjoy the AI and corrupted code aspects, I love and have a special place in my heart for the stories where people are the monsters. (The original story of how William takes, corrupts, and messes with life itself through doing so to others, and ultimately becomes the monster he was inside and the same variety of monster he turned the kids into. Plus the horror of those souls being stuck inside with their bodies so close yet out of reach of those who could help them. The visceral, supernatural yet human, and borderline religious tones/themes that can be pulled from the older parts of the story can’t be beat.) So yeah, I really hope that the mimic isn’t the puppet, but maybe a prototype from the back they had during fall fest that could have caused the fire, maybe being the reason Evan/CC/whatever you wanna call him is scared of the animatronics, as well as inspired William to begin experimenting in darker aspects of robotics and life. Could also give more humanity to the characters. (Explain absentee mothers, expand the families of past and future victims, etc.). Could tie the supernatural to the sci-fi aspects of the world really well (that, or destroy the ground which helped Fnaf grow and become the powerhouse it is today). But, I’ll remain cautious but hopeful that Steel Wool learned from mistakes, knows the whole story, and will deliver what they promise.

This fandom kinda just keeps flashing me back to the old days of Harry Potter. Who remembers when book six(?) came out and a random extra was given the name Mark Evans? And the entire fandom blew up assuming he was vitally important because Evans was Lily's maiden name, and thus Mark must be a relative of Harry's, may be a wizard, another chosen one, etc. And it turned out that Rowling had just forgotten she used the name already. That's kind of how I feel about the Mimic right now. I actually like VIP a lot better if I assume the pig is a unique character who, like the animatronics, is being warped by the storyteller program. That's more interesting and engaging to me than the pig also being the mimic, and then trying to slam puzzle pieces together to figure out how that works. There's some element of Occam's Razor here. The books have introduced plenty of characters who were not from the games, so the simplest explanation is that VIP is another of these like the Bobbiedots or Fetch.

For example, where Jeff blocked off the hallway with a wet floor sign, Oswald now sees an endo blocking the path. If MOE is really AR instead of VR it wouldn’t actually help towards what it’s supposed to at all. One thing that throws a spanner into the whole Tiger Rock, VIP, Security Breach debate regarding the Mimic is, in Security Breach, we learn that Bonnie disappeared after going to Monty's Gator Golf. MGG didn't exist yet in VIP, so presumably Bonnie is still around, the book just skips over Bonnie Bowl because protag doesn't want to be there. In Tiger Rock, Bonnie is still around and MGG exists. So, either the order is VIP, Tiger Rock, SB or one of the books isn't in the main-game timeline.

I think that the puppet and mimic AI are directly related. Feels like it might be Charlotte possessing the puppet and then using that AI to "give life" by merging the kid's souls into the circuitry. So it's like possession and sci-fi, that is very fitting in with the themes they keep harping on since Security Breach. Now if we assume Charlotte was freed...we now have an AI program and machine that thinks it must "help give life" to other animatronics. Thus giving us nightmarionne. The origin of which being the machine/possessed(?) Mimic Robot. So the Mimic AI originates from the Mimic + Puppet.

Here is my explanation for a non time travel way for into the pit to function. It basically functions as a subspace, a second layer to reality. The doors got broken and as they are the same doors in both layers what happened to one happened to the other. When wandering the freddy's he is physically wandering Jeff's but kept separated by the agony of the pit Unless, is there evidence that people think the doors were not there just days prior? that the doors were not just found broken and removed by jeff, instead of the doors being broken years in the past so they no longer existed at the time of the beginning of the game altered by time travel.

ive always had a weird thought. like ever since the 3rd game, was William Afton the fall guy? like a murder happens, the murderer used the spring bonny suit, William Afton was know in the company as the one behind spring bonny. but instead it was on of those weird endos that just stand around in game 1,2 and i think 1 in 3 as well. could the endo be mimic, and Afton was set up by the mimic, then killed in the back room by the mimic in spring bonny suit. Hennery finds Afton bleeding out and still thinking this dude is killing our company, turned around and walked away. because 30 years a long time to not eat, drink, or even see light. to me it seems like William was a puppet, not the puppet master. main note Scott did say at one point the way he wanted to take the story in a way that was to sci fiction, an endo-skeleton killing a person, id say that's sci fiction. just a thought, William could have had 1 kill under his belt, Charlie, hennery's daughter. cause the killer was brought in for court, but not found guilty. went back to work hennery like tells him don't come back, William sees Charlie, and in a rage kills here right there at the back door that William was tossed out of. so i think William never killed the kids in the sping bonny suit, but i do think he killed Charlie, in rage.

Edit: Flaf related I defend turning 180 degrees when drifting - this only happens if you timed your counter-steer late or used it poorly. If you're drifting too hard at high speed then you'll slide out and turn all the way around. If you turn into it, it's salvageable. Otherwise, you're punished for drifting too tight while going too fast

If talesgame isn't true, then possibly Henry made the mimic (yes I know you all hate the whole parallel thing, stay with me here) which is why it's an evil version of the Puppet. Maybe the Puppet was made out of love and protection for his daughter, but the Mimic was made out of agony and anguish of Charlie's death. They're opposites, the one which Charlie posseses, and the one who mimicked her to her father after her death. I don't necessarily believe this, just a thought. It could technically fit with Edwin, but I think it's more meaningful (i know itt's not deep it's just fnaf) if it was Henry.

Someone told me it doesn’t fit the time line accurately at all, it seems like they’re heavily eluding that the character in the box in the SOTM trailer is the mimic and because they’re being stored in a box it drawing Heavy parallels to the puppet but to me the mask just doesn’t scream at least in appearance wise that it’s related to the puppet. The mask, at least in my opinion looks more like a funtime animatronic and I don’t suppose There’s enough evidence to say definitely that it’s the night four suit in SL, but what about this, there’s never really been a reason to explain why ennards mask is in the SL and I. Dawko’s video with 8BR they speculated that there was a character that the ennard mask was assigned to before the collective of ennard used it for themself. Plus I think personally the mask resembles the ennard mask way more than I do the puppets

Did they confirm what all would be coming with the DBD x FNAF collab? While speculating on potential survivors and a map is fun, I wouldn’t get our hopes up if they didn’t confirm anything like that😅

I'm pretty sure Fnaf is the anniversary chapter for next year so i could see them doing 2 survivors. I also now want Markiplier in dbd more than anything, we already have Nic Cage so please behaviour make it happen

Personally I don’t think you actually time travel in Into The Pit. Mostly because you can call Mom and Jeff from the past and when you call Fazbear’s it’s the exact same answer in both the past and present.

Is the real answer that FNAF is a franchise not everything connects anymore? The first 6 games and the Silver Eyes Triology are one big story, sure, but....The Tales and Frights books are standalone. Goosebumps with the FNAF name and their own stories. Probably connected to the interactive novels as well. The Help wanted, security breach, HW2 group is another story set in th universe of the original story but is basically a sequel. The movies are the movies. And some of the games are standalone(Into the Pit rocks but isn't canon to the games or the books as far as we can tell). I think its just a FNAF multiverse.
