Better than nothing but I don't go cheap on lights. I don't trust a $3.33 light to be reliable. I'm really tough on lights. My lights get dropped, smacked around, or covered in toxic waste and keep on working. I don't think I have a work light that is under $50.
@ilovebohol
@ilovebohol 5 жыл бұрын
@@GrnXnham yes, i wouldn't mind buying the best tool for professional use either just as cheap tools like the headlamp LED has its own use, greasing the U-joint under the car would be somewhat overwhelming to use an expensive light considering it will be covered in grease and dirt. Cheap lights has its uses, i put one in the glovebox, one in the garage and one in the basement. I guess im too cheap 😁

Thanks Scotty. I need a bore light. I presume you can get it at a parts store. I am going tomorrow. By the way Scotty, I am 60 years old, and decrepit, and I need one because I cannot get down if i do i cannot get back up unless I have a chair or something like that sitting around and hopefully i can get up with out it not turning over with me. That is why i need one. To old not to be with out one. Cheers my friend. Dr. Joe

Coast Portland has great lights. I have their rechargable headlight and pen light. Adjustable brightness and focus. I worked as a diesel mechanic and those lights are amazing. Used and abused but still work great 3 years later. Made in America too.

Thanks again Scotty. Best work light I've found was buried in the snow at a curb, It had obvious been run over several times given all the marks and scratches on it. Who knows how long it was sitting there but it charged right up and gives off an incredible amount of light. It has a strong magnet to stick on any metal surface and looks to be indestructible and maybe waterproof. Small enough to fit in your pocket. It's called the Cyclops and runs about $20.00 online. Now let's talk lighting for your garage. Take care!

I like the headlights from Coast that have a dimmer and are adjustable from spot to flood. Simple on/off switch and it’s hands free!! Batteries last Very long while dim, and you can turn it up with a lever when needed.

I agree with other commentators. A good LED headlamp is the best light to use when working on your vehicle. The lights are bright, last for hours on a single charge and the light always shines on what you are looking at. No need for magnetic clamping, tripods, etc.
