I finished the breakthrough challenge too recently and what I liked about it is that the trainers don't go soft on you and really get you to push yourself to your limit! I remember one workout where they straight up did 3 sets of back to back jump squats, air squats, squat pulses and split lunges lol! I agree with your suggestion about a personal trainer type of thing because I liked how during the programs, you would sometimes get a notification about your progress thus far.

That breakthrough challenge definitely pushed me for sure! I remember that squat circuit 😭 lol hopefully they’ll keep improving on top of what they have so far 💪🏾

Hey man just wanted to tell you I did the breakthrough program after watching this video and I just finished it and loved it. I’ve never worked out 5x a week before and by the end I felt amazing and so much stronger. Made me think my body’s capable of more than I realize. I have been using the app for many years even when I was at the gym. It gave me a lot of options on workouts. They have yoga and pilates on there too. So it's for everyone. Not just for fitness.

I literally lost so much weight before quarantine and gained it all back during quarantine. I’ve been looking for something that will give me different workouts and healthy recipes for food. I’m definitely going to check it out! Thanks!

I am SO happy I came across your video! I love NTC app and have been using it for awhile but I’ve been feeling that the training program are not being updated which makes it quite boring overtime… and then I watched your video and saw a completely different look of the app 🤯 I am in Canada and apparently Nike doesn’t care to extend the US programs for their friends in the North, so when I switched the region to the US my app took a whole new look and I am now able to see all the new programs including the Breakthrough Challenge and the health tips! 🤩 Thank you 🙏🏼 Still on 1:43, gonna watch the rest now to learn more about your experience with it.

I loved the NTC, but my only frustration (and it is huge, during the workouts) is that with the movements you are doing, sometimes it isn’t always picked up on the Apple Watch.

It was the trainer whiteboard workouts....so if it doesn’t measure your movements, then it never goes on to the next exercise.

Nice review man! What I liked the most is that you can put a lot of info like your height, if your already fit or not and even what equipments you have in the house and the app will adjust the training for your needs. I don’t have any equipments and even so the app configured a nice training for me.

Has anyone had problems with the Training not populating on the iwatch? It just „says pick a training on the phone”. Once i start it, it dosnt do anything. NRC works just fine

Hey I have a question : you said you did a program for 4 weeks and it’s broken down into 4 . Does that mean you have to do the same work out for one week abs than switch to week 2 and so on ?

Yep, they had different workouts each week, where they got progressively more challenging each week!

Thanks for the video. I just downloaded this app and although there is much to like about it the biggest glaring omission, IMHO, is the lack of direction. While I can certainly find exercises I like, I am not a trainer and have little experience to know how much I should be doing, which exercises on what days, exercises to target fat loss, etc. Is there a NTC guide that can create a program based on desired outcomes over a specified time period?

One thing I don't understand about the app workouts is how it doesn't give you rest time. I'm really supposed to do all reps, check the exercise on the list and immediately begin the next exercise?

I'm a noob when it comes to fitness never really done anything but decided to try n get in shape n be healthier. Do you have any recommendations what to start with to focus core for a beginner ?

I’d say build a solid foundation first. First, determine a goal that you want to achieve (gain muscle, lose fate, become more athletic, etc) then second find activity that can help you reach that goal, but you could still enjoy and can stick with. (Weights, running, cycling, playing a sport, etc). Once you do that for at least 1 month consistently, reevaluate based on what worked and what didn’t and also what you enjoyed. That’s what really matters

Do you think this would be good to use in conjunction to the Nike running club app? Or do you think that’ll be too much cause I don’t want to over do it but I want to run and do strength training

I think a proper balance of both should be fine! I use peloton, the gym and apple fitness plus in conjunction all the time to split between cardio, weight lifting and core work

Unfortunately there isn’t ability to set custom workouts. I have an app review coming up that does just that though!

I used on app was amazing after finishing that app starting training for few weeks to 100 x and was excited for more of that then it writed you can but only with pro version that cost money :(

not really. they changed the app format. now most of it are follow along classes, feels like an youtube video where the instructor talks nonstop. There are some whiteboard ones, but they aren't as fun, they'r effective, tho.. I'd recommend Puma Trac or gymshark apps.

I’ve been using Nike run club and it’s definitely improved my running. I never used this app cause I’m always doing workouts on KZbin. So I’m gonna start using this to see if I notice anything

I have been using Nike apps and as they promote it Nike+ and NTC and Apple since 2011 however I am mixed due to Nike not being consistent with their tech division support and how long they offer it before they remove it from the marketplace!

Bullshit bro, do not download it please...This is just add. However if you beginner, nice app. Fancy app, connectivity and all these shits never work...try to look for right product... I have dumbbells etc... And all those exercises thought in gym is for you to come again and again... because they won't work... unless you use them for years and follow a strict diet...I am not fat or skinny...just average Young Man... My suggestion is bro-style buy dumbbells and start routine from the day you read this comment...
