The Companion is definitely 1 of my favorite pick ups. That package opener still works as a Phillips and it opens the thick plastic that drill bits or other tools come in with ease. That saves your knife blade for other stuff as well. A can opener, I really only use them as a 2D phillips, so the package opener and the nail file really are amazing. It's quickly becoming 1 of my favorite Victorinox. The Farmer X is my favorite though.

Great reviews. I had the twisted assisted lambs foot. Really wanted to like the knife but it had such a ridiculous pull that i sent it back! Im a plasterer so nothing to do with hand strength. Shame as it has put me off buying anymore of their products. Thanks David....

My only real deception was a RR denim canoe in carbon steel. It's a fine knife but the pen blade is a total nail breaker. I can't seem to fix it. I don't want to carry a knife with two blades if I can feasibly only use one. I think I saw that the pen blade on your RR canoe was a bit of a pull too. I have never been really lucky with RR.

Well everytime you open a tool, you get a fingerprint on the nail nick area. I was wondering the same thing about wiping the blade, until I really looked at my knfe after opening it. With the lights, you can really see the fingerprints.
