I never saw Moira as an Antagonist, more like a neutral character who shows well the dysfunctional political system in the Alliance and how torn it is. Alliance players may argue that the Horde had a worse political system, but they always stuck together and the only problem was the role of Warchief, who could literally do whatever he wanted. Which was resolved by canceling this role.
@mokarokas-17276 ай бұрын
@@terrycrimson6702 She was definitely meant to be an antagonist, though. The turmoil in Ironforge during Cataclysm came exclusively from her and her claims to power, and she was depicted as conniving and ugly in official art (yes, storytelling was that shallow at the time) and was always rude. Clearly there was some story planned there that didn't fully resolve (along with Magni's transformation which was pushed back and changed to be about Legion instead), because they turned on a dime in Mists of Pandaria with a new story that made her out to be respectful and heroic, and she was suddenly way cuter in official art. Her story has been a confusing one, to say the least.

Moira is actually a very compelling factor to why Classic wow felt right. She was that one element/weakness in the otherwise pristine Ironforge and its ruler, making the faction (and the alliance overall) more believable. She's also had very believable motives for a "kill the horde" policy given they canonically murdered her husband. The associated quest are great too. Tho I thought she was the one that initiated the ambush in the first place... Certainly was in character atleast.
